Uh you steam your face to open up pores, not to soften blackheads. And FYI, blackheads are oxidized whiteheads.

I have a nose stud and have used pore strips before, just cut a slit on the side of your piercing and when you position it on your nose the stud (or ring) can pop out and not get covered!!

Personally I use a hot flannel with my cleanser every morning and night- it's like a mini hot cloth facial and keeps my skin extremely clear- bit of a chore sometimes when you come after a few drinks bug trust me- you notice the difference!!!

@killjoy192321 a classic bobby pin will do. Or even a safety pin, the side that has the circle ring on it, use that. Just be careful, don't slip up and stab yourself in the eye. Make sure its closed!
