They are words and only words. There are usually more precise ways of describing something than throwing a lot of them in but if I hit my self with a hammer no one can tell me that I used "inapropriate" words
I'm (naughty word!)ing amazed at how (naughty word!)ing brilliant this (naughty word!)ing sketch is. If the (naughty word!)ing BBC donn't (naughty word!)ing show this (naughty word!)ing sketch again, then they're (naughty word!)ing (naughtier word!)s. The (naughtiest word!)s.
This is the difference between todays comedy and the art of the two ronnies... now a days you wouldn't have the bleeps which would ruin the sketch completely.
@sockschappercat The comedic value comes from the fact they're swearing about a swear box... the bleeps make it funnier yes but they're not the soul joke. I'm struggling to see your point here... either you're agreeing with and in fact repeating my original point in saying the bleeps are much nicer than enduring all the f-ing and what not and make it a funnier sketch, or you're saying that the only comedy in the clip comes from beeps... in which case you're retarded.
@BOOMA107 What I'm trying to say is that swearing often gets a cheap laugh. If you can make someone laugh without explicit swearing, it shows genuinely good content. Whilst it would still work without the censorship, it does show that it's actually a good sketch and is not using swearing as something to fall back on.

@BOOMA107 Actually, they're the whole point of the sketch.

@sockschappercat well, they're not, the reason they're there is to indicate they're swearing... they're not the whole point of the sketch.

@BOOMA107 It's the different censor sounds. It would still work without them, however, just involving the shock factor.
