STALKER is fairly realistic, its a better idea to aim for the chest/mid section apposed to taking the extra time & 'miss-risk' for hitting the head.

yeah, and another thing to consider is the fairly futuristic body armour, some of these like the exosceleton are just made to stop bullets.
