  • It's interesting that the the youngest member of the two groups became the most famous.

  • Funny how both cartoons were about the same in most ways, but how the outcome for each group 40 years later is so different.

  • I remember watching these when I was a kid! Holdenon3 is right: there weren't that many made (about a season of each), but there were more than just a few.

  • Jackson 5 for the win!

  • Never saw The Osmonds cartoons to my recollection. As the animation at least looks similar to both toons, I wonder if Jack Davis (Mad) drew sketches for them too. The drawings he did for The J5ive were great. Cool to see this!

  • The Osmonds dances sucks compare to the Jacksons 5!

  • You see the Osmonds did their voice, not the Jacksons, but I like Jay jumping at the end.

  • Yup, that was part of my Saturday morning routine as a kid.

  • According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB.com) all of the Osmonds (Alan, Donny, Jay, Jimmie, Merrill & Wayne) did their animated characters voices. The voices of the Jackson family were done by actors.

  • UPDATE: Just watched an Osmonds cartoon and it's pretty clearly them doing their own voices.

  • Actually, there were 23 episodes of the Jackson 5 series made between 1971 and 1973.

There were 17 Osmonds episodes made in 1973.

Due to scheduling conflicts, none of the Jackson 5 provided their own voices for the series. I don't know about the Osmonds.
