The figures on how many times the weight of the Shamwow in water can be absorbed keep changing. This video says 12 times, I've seen videos of people selling the product saying it can hold 20, 27 and even 40 times its own weight!

dude , i figured that u cnt test , first , it has to be slitly wet or damp , second , u have to press really hard on it , then let it go , when it flexes extendedly , it absorbs alot , u cnt test :(
