And another rather amusing fact or rather motoric mistake, also visible in Repin's playing, is the right hand moving down strings (in the presto part , 6"45 and onwards) while it could rather be stationary over the g string, as in the meantime there is left hand pizzicato.
haha. believe me. everyboby makes that thing!!! its a reflex movement. i have spend hours trying not to do that!! it looks stupid!! but it is not a misteake!!!i gave a recording of repin playing this at 13. much faster!!! see also vasa prihoda!!
Repin is Repin, no question, but what is this guy doing at the piano with an open instrument? He thinks he is important! While all he does is waves his hands and distracts the attention from a great violinist. A shame!
excuse me. he IS important. hes itamar golan. hes like as famous as repin. i mean sure the violin is more important in this piece but i know itamar likes the piano full open. plus its not doing any harm to repin.and it looks cool. i should know i played this peice with itamar twice already. and i know repin really well so if you dont know who you're talking about then dont talk at all. and if u dont believe i played with these guys then i dont really care. your loss.
Repin is the real master of the violin music, I loved his playing always, some of his records are incredible, like Shostakovich Concerto N.1, Prokofiev Sonatas with Boris Berezovsky. For me, his is the favorite Russian Modern Violinist as same as Victor Tretjakov. Also, actually his is really nice and friendly person in real life.)

Disappointing right hand on this occasion.

Great Repin but he hasn't got such a conducting right arm as Vengerov, not as many colours as the Master, great sound of course but harder...

Repin's powerful sound and his strad beat everything. He can play with a full orchestra and even so, his sound is always what you hear at first.
