  • animals over people any day..

  • Wow. Bart is such a lover! How cute. I wish he could have lived until dying of a ripe old age instead of that cancer...

  • Research black salve it could of saved him

  • 1:09 - 2:46

  • @313bruce LOL. I cried too. I watched it twice and cried twice.

  • @AtheistinFundyLand by looking at this video it reminds me of my ralation ship with a wolf i loved when i was a baby she got tooken away from me when i went to bed and we had a camra with the whole thing on it. she was whining and stuff im still sad =[

  • I love Bart..RIP Bart..we always love you..:)

  • R.I.P Bart.

  • Wow! That bear is so big and powerful it could go straight into a cage full of lions and tigers and just lay down with no worries of an attack. Impressive!

  • So beautiful :)

  • i feel dougs pain every - single- time i watch videos of him and bart. that is the true cost of owning/ bonding with animals. not the food or the vet but the fact you know them their whole life cycle

  • LOVE these Doug & Lynn,

Fun seeing Bart & your place again, been 18 years now.

    BIG BIG HUGS,

    ********

  • R.I.P Bart

  • Wow ! Doug is a pretty big man and Bart just towers over him.Barts head is wider than Dougs shoulders. You can see the love Bart had for his friend and the love his friend gave in return. How inspiring to see such affection between man and beast.

  • @nerblebun Yeah. The first time I saw Bart with Doug, I was amazed. I really didn't understand how big bears could get until that moment. It still amazes me every time I see it.

  • @AtheistinFundyLand Yeah, even for a grizzly Bart was huge. A grizzly is considered huge at 800 lbs. I'm pretty sure I read Bart weighed close to 1200 lbs !!

  • @nerblebun Bart was a Kodiak bear. Both grizzlies and Kodiaks are brown bears, but for some reason, Kodiaks are bigger. (Maybe salmon supplies?) Wiki says he weighed 1800 pounds, but I've also read 1500 in other places.

This makes him as heavy as the extinct short-faced bear and nearly as tall. Short-faced bears had long legs for their size, so in my mind, Bart could still probably beat up a short-faced bear. :D

    Take that, extinct mega-fauna! ;)

  • its Painfully when your pet/soul mate dies i Lost My dog by cancer i had never cried so mutch : ( for an animal

  • Beautiful Story!

  • es una historia muy bonita porque no la traduces al español espero que lo logres

  • How beautiful & profound life can be for all of us! Thank you!

  • thats a great story! sorry to here about your bear

  • awesome.

  • woow i'm really sorry

  • beautiful people, beautiful bears.

  • great

  • That people hunt and kill these gorgeous animals (or any other wild animals) is beyond my comprehension.

  • @mslauraw In the movie "The Bear", Bart should have gotten an Academy Award of some sort - what an actor he was!

In one scene, he scared the H*** outta me.

He knew when he was on camera, and acted like a wild bear.

  • @mslauraw You say its gorgeous now, but when you see them in the wild, you think of them a bit differently.....

    theyre dangerous animals.

  • I watched all the movies that had Bart the Bear, he was a wonderful animal actor.

They have a blessing with animals. I hope they keep taking care of them.

  • i can't wait for the day that the Lord brings us all to the relationship that the Suess family shares with animals. What a beautiful gift they have.

  • This almost made me cry. So touching and moving and you don't see the kind of dedication these people showed to their animals and honestly they gave it right back. I still loved the end when bart just rolled over him in a hug. It is so heartbreaking that big lug died.

  • TOTALLY AWESOME! GOD BLESS!

  • their relationship it was so cute , so sweet that`s way i think animals are great .

  • I was very fortunate to beable to record the doc. of Doug Seus & Bart, Lil Bart & HoneyBump w/ Brad Pitt. I also got documentary of Doug Seus & family W/ their Wolves. I watch it all the time. Love you Seus Family.

  • did yo urecord the one eith jeniffer aniston? upload the wolves one id love to see that. its amazing how he trained these bears. i mean you always hear of ''domesticated'' wild animals sttacking their owners but not these ones. they love doug so much./

  • so inspiring

  • so very sad doug and wife great people thank you nana toni

  • Just joined Vital Ground. Thank you for all you do.

  • The bear breathed his last breath into Doug's mouth! There's no more intense manisfestation of the bond between a man and his animal buddy.

  • Amazing!And what a wonderful people

    the Seuses family!

  • i think more people need to be like doug and lynne seus

  • no one animals take care of there young better then humans. i give you credit

  • Sometimes a relationship with an animal can become as profound and important as any we have we our fellow humans. This was obviously the case for Doug and Bart. They were lucky to have each other for the 23 years that Bart lived. And we are lucky to still have Bart's image in the movies he made.

  • Fantastic...!!!

  • How beautiful. Those guys truly love thier Bear friends.

  • Delightful. Wonderful people and the bears love him so much. Good work

  • Fuzzy Yogi

  • Oh such love in action. Bart and his master were blessed to have each other. I am so very inspired. I will send this story to all my friends here in Missouri. Elizabeth

  • beautiful!

  • Very moving video. We must be aware of our impact on this planet. All too often we encroach on natural habitat to make room for our ever increasing US population. This has got to stop.

I'm not what you'd call an environmentalist by any means, just a realist. Common sense. We can not go on the way were going, with ever increasing populations...both domestically and from abroad. We're suffering on many levels.

  • What an amazing story. Bart was an amazing animal. His work has had an enormous impact on my life. Kudos to both him and the Seusses for their life's work.

  • the Seus's were my idols growing up and I LOVE BART THE BEAR!! this video made me laugh really hard especially at 7:57 but i also cried my eyes out when Doug talked about Barts death....omg im crying again! i love you bart!!

  • What a friendly giant bart was <3

I would be scared to death too

    pet him though.

    R.I.P. BART THE BEAR

  • incredible

  • Bart!!!!!!!! This made me cry. The story is amazing but sad in the end but the love he shared with his friends? Profound!!!!!!!!!

  • Bart was truely one of a kind. there will probably never be a bear as big as that guy that could do what he did. Could you imagine a burglur stumbling onto that property and meeting Bart instead of a watch dog? Gonna miss that bear and I never even met him.

  • what a video.shows that the grizzly is such a class animal.

  • i dont think its a grizzly i think he was a kodiak bear

  • Such a sad video.

  • this is so amazing!!!!I can't get enough of this video!it's wow ....

  • wow....fantastic

  • Bart was the best! I really want meet Doug Lynne and Little Bart, will be a dream come true!

  • Awesome! We love bears, too.
