Again this is false it was not hours after, it was during the attack. These events happened concurrently. Marines were taking small arms automatic weapon fire. Civilians were caught in the middle. Maybe you should blame the insurgents for springing an ambush in the middle of a civilian area. Oh yea that's their strategy, to create situations where civilians will get killed. The murders happened after, when the marines broke into the houses of Iraqi civilians. Several young children, as young as 2 years old, were shot close range! Why did they have to kill the children too? 2 years old at home weren't 'caught in the middle'. Autopsy said that the killings were close range. Not from blunt force during fighting. It happened after all attacks and was close range.

Sorry doesn't work that way. Marines taking automatic fire from these houses saturate the house with return fire and grenades. Then when there was no more return fire they enter the buildings with grenades and more fire. They don't stick their heads around corners and look first when they have just been shot at. Accusation was that these were revenge killings which evidence shows is correct. Autopsy says children and women along with the men were shot close range in their houses by these assholes. The firing had stopped before they entered houses. Bullet marks show this to be close range revenge kills. Also the taxi and the men in the cars were not shot at while fleeing. They were taken out of their cars and shot dead. They had stopped before these fuckers shot them dead.
