  • Speaking of moral judgements, I have sensed this attitude coming from so many sex negative rad fems about male sexuality. It's assumed that sexual attraction to women is nothing but objectification, exploitation or even a symptom of "rape culture". Regardless of the stated arguments against legalizing prostitution, there is always an assumption that men are incapable of relating to women sexually without treating them as sex objects. But they never accuse older women of objectifying gigolos.

  • egadz ladies! i couldn't wade through the whole comment thread, my eyeballs started bleeding. academia has its shining beacons of useful humans, studies and discussions and then bastions of mean, self-important hypocritical fucks who write well received papers who do nothing for the community outside their campus. i wondered where all the feminist legal scholars were when aileen wuornos was being railroaded and executed?! she was clearly ill and in need of proper legal counsel. whycome male

  • @screaminmeani male serial killers ie. bundy, got life? i'm not championing her actions, just pointing out that the feminist legal and academic establishment did nothing to help aileen because she was not a "sexy" or easy case. many cases could use academic attention and the women and children involved never get help from scholars. case in point , tisdale saskatchewan 11 yr Indigenous victim, 3 white farmers. the data about sexabuse victims being precocious was used AGAINST her.

  • Good material, subscribed.

  • what i find most interesting is how onisiongate ties into heathergate. the stigmatization of sex workers and by association, sluts self-declared and women who just celebrate their sexuality in general is what keeps victims ashamed and silent. when sex trade workers, adult, underage and trafficked, seek help, they are the ones who are thrown in jail who receive criminal records, are in some cases deported. the attitude that dehumanizes any woman who engages in or enjoys sex endangers us all

  • @screaminmeani - yes! very much I see the two situations tied together as well :)

  • Get well soon!

  • GET WELL AND KICK PATRIARCHY!

  • Get well soon. No wonder you're thirsty :P

  • You get to feelin' better, ya hear? :)

  • Please get well soon :)

  • I hope you feel better soon.

  • i never knew this was an issue...you guys dont fuck whoeva you want?

  • Okay...I feel bad for how people have been treating you, and this issue (also, I hope you feel better soon, by the way). There absolutely is morality without religion, and that other Atheists have been claiming otherwise is disturbing and disheartening.

I agree with your points on this, very much so. From the comments about the voice of the underprivileged, to not assuming on looks. My first girlfriend was no model, but I greatly enjoyed my time with her (before emotional issues).

  • Get well soon!

  • I understand that you aren't feeling too good. Drink some OJ, bundle up with a warm blanket and a good book, and feel better soon.

  • So, I heard you were not feeling well. We can not have that...take good care and do get lots of rest. I hope your tomorrow is better than today, always. Peace.

  • Mucho love from a random subscriber!

  • I hope you're feeling better soon

  • Get well soon!

  • feel better, mama! <3

  • @FeministWhore Awwww, da luvs is felt @~>~~

  • @FeministWhore where is that photograph from?

  • Get well soon, mate!

  • Div says get better so you must..hehe'

    feel better soon. :p

  • I just wanted to say, that I genuinely enjoy your videos and hope you will get well soon.

  • Get well soon. Drink lots of liquid. (Preferably water)

  • Olive leaf extract from who;e foods does wonders. it comes in 2 forms, the less expensive is more bitter. Get well soon.

  • @pastafariandan Oh that sounds like a great idea. Is there a particular brand you like?

  • not well? get well soon! chicken soup and orange juice...brandy entirely optional but can help it seem like it doesn't matter;)

  • get well soon.

  • a great video FW, pity it had to be made :-/

  • I wish I was where you are, so I could hug you.

  • I have read articles Feminist Whore has written other than YouTube, glad to see the debate is still growing, ..stronger.

  • the avarage atheist has more morals and values than all religions put together, simply becouse atheists think for themselves (except those who seek group mentality)

  • I've often found the position held by those on YouTube regarding ethics to be rather embarrassing. They will often flat out deny morality then go on to make normative statements "We ought to have universal health care" lol. What you describe in the first few minutes is a moral position; that one ought to use their position to help others in a lesser position, that there is a responsibility, nay, a duty to do so, very Christian and Jewish(Tzedakah) by the way. Noblesse oblige!

  • @DiwataMan wth? Who has ever denied morality? What are you talking about? And do you really think that a moral standpoint can be attributed to a religion? I mean, really?

  • @assalane That was probably a bad way to phrase that. Keep in mind I'm thinking of the layperson. Often morality is considered something that is forced upon us, usually in terms of religion, and is fought against, "don't force you're morality on me" they'll say then go on to vote for legislation that does just that, I find it amusing. They often come from a subjectivist position but aren't aware of the ramifications of such a position.

  • @DiwataMan Not sure about that. Sure one can try to force his morality onto someone else, that's done quite often. When 2 set of moral stand points collide, conflict ensue. But I don't think anyone think of morality in general as something to fight against. Some moral values, yes, but not morality as a whole. Morality in and of itself is quite useless, because what was considered moral always has changed when you look at it in space (around the world) and time (in the past).

  • Fucking Brilliant Video, Awesome Rant.

  • I've noticed that often the whole "want to" thing is usually followed by something like how someone wants to be a garbage man or a coal miner then rebutted with it's not the same because of this or that which is true but the point remains that some or most in each still would usually rather choose something else but then most of us would rather be doing something else.

  • No you are not the only one. haha :P

  • LOL @ OP.....

  • Since one "side" has, as usual, decided to ignore the actual arguments; I can haz divinity/femwho vs. Zinnia/heather jello wrestling tag-team match nao?

  • @SeleukosNicator323 Wow! What an ignorant and presumptuous and rude thing to say! Clueless pontification: An indication of a pseudo intellectual academe. Me thinks u doth protest too much

  • i agree, and i think that we're actually privileged to hear someone with the actual experience talk about the real situation, but we go and shit all over them, i actually subscribed, because of the insight and that i have never heard these thoughts before :)

the best of luck to you to make those that like to talk, but not to listen - actually listen ;)

  • I love how people who've never been in the situations they speak of can so easily look down upon people who have truly been in those situations.

  • this just confirms what i was always thinking gay men and straight women are insane, how could they let one of those things near them :P of course i jest. great video and great point.

  • morals are subjective

  • Going to add Heathergate to the tags of my video

  • @HappyCabbie --- awesome :D ! I just started watching yours, and thanks cabbie a really big thanks for speaking out as a someone who's been on the customer side of deal ♥

  • "We can judge everybody's sanity based..."

    ROFLMAO! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @Divinity33372 I must be the sanest person in the world. XD

  • @SeleukosNicator323 And not likely to be either. Why someone who has achieved little academically feels so compelled to impune academia is so peculiar. Anyway great vid. I'll have to add riverstone's comment to my list of the crazy shit idiots will say.

  • @stromatolite775 - Maybe she developed that opinion through her own experience with academic researchers. Maybe it's because when she criticized them they called her crazy, and an idiot, and shamed her for not having made academic accomplishments. Instead of explaining that it's not always that way, and instead of bothering to start with a mention of how some academic researchers might be that way, but not all of them, the first response is shaming and ridicule. Why? Because she started it?

  • @FeministWhore Who knows? She would have to explain why she felt the need to fire off that broadside in the first place? She is making a universal condemnation of education with her "ivory tower" comment. For those of us who are educators, this is what the willfully ignorant do. I would hope she knows that the majority of educators are not like this but her comments suggest otherwise. My experience shows you can't jolt such a mentality with gentleness, but ridicule does work.

  • @stromatolite775 - She didn't universally condemn education, she condemned social science academic researchers working with minority populations. That is part of the topic of the video, the research of sex workers by academics such as Dines and Farley, and it seems unfair to assume the worst of her from a character-limited comment section. At least have a listen to her videos and see who you are dealing with before going with ridicule. Or maybe you did check first, I shouldn't assume either.

  • @FeministWhore Well I won't debate the strengths and weaknesses of social science. Go back and read her first lines: "Academics want to control, hoard & monopolize information. They are compelled to be "experts" to whom we are all beholden." Its a form of academic inferiority complex. I've seen this mentality on occasion. No respect for it. If she thinks social science is so flawed, why would she have credentials in it? She likely doesn't but personally, I couldn't care less.

  • @stromatolite775 I've worked in higher education and been through it to the BA level. Some feminists wanted me to participate in what I, as an uneducated person and former sex worker, could tell was biased research on sex workers. Sneaky fu-ks but hey, they have degrees.

  • @stromatolite775 I hate to burst your bubble of academic snobbery but those without collage educations don't have a monopoly on willful ignorance. And if you're so convinced that she is wrong why don't you refute her point with some o' that fancy lernin u have instead of trying to mock and shame her into silence.

  • @Divinity33372 Why is it that when one defends the concept of education, some insecure boob calls snobbery? "Fancy lernin"? What are you, someone else whose education tanked early on? If you or her see no value in education, stay away from it. Sling BS about it and those who know better will likely say something about it. Not trying to mock her into silence, but am trying to show just how silly her and your argument is. As for you? Avoid education and go back to making fries!

  • @stromatolite775 STILL waiting for a proper refutation of her argument. Do you not have it to offer?

  • @Divinity33372 refute her argument that education is a "closed and cruel" system? You need that? Did you go to and finish high school? Was it like that? Did you ever go to college (not collage)? Was it like that? She is saying that any academic studying sociology is exploiting the people they study. You are being assinine. I feel no need to "refute" that crap or that the moon is made of cheese. Your "waiting" resembles a monkey staring at chinese math.

  • @stromatolite775 - Why are you still insisting that what she said was about "education" in general instead of about the specific areas of social science research she mentioned? It's an important distinction, and it's not as though social science research hasn't come under harsh scrutiny from other areas of academia. The Sokal affair comes to mind.

  • @FeministWhore All I've seen from this one is mockery and logic fails. Appeals to his own authority which he has yet to provide proof of, personal attacks and a refusal to provide any sort of substantive counter argument. Oh well =/

Break it up folks. Nothin to see here.

  • @Divinity33372 Yep re:stromatolite775 - He admits that he's only willing to consider half of what she said? And that he's basing his judgement on only that first half, and is unwilling to consider the latter part where she specifically clarified that her complaint was about the 'study' of people, and even more specifically about 'Queers, people of color, the poor, people with disabilities'?! It's worse than assuming - he purposely rejects evidence that refutes his assumption.

  • @FeministWhore Yea and he's a doody head XD~

  • @FeministWhore Wow! I responded to her rediculous statements and now you demand I consider all of her rantings? Especially about "Queers" etc? Now I'm rejecting evidence? You are a mess! Tell you what dimbulb, there is a lot to be understood about you from your comments and none of it good. You don't like me and I think you are an imbecile. And I base that on all of you comments, not just half. Leave it at that. Oh, and stay away from that evil social science - it'll get yah!

  • @stromatolite775 - You spelled ridiculous wrong.

  • @FeministWhore on the internet spelling does not matter. how many people are used to spell check devices? how many people are so old that they are taught that spelling is even important anymore with all of the spell check devices out there? you can point out what word was spelled wrong, and therefore the communication was effective but simply displeased you. spelling nazi's on the internet are the equivalent of creationists. they use 3rd grade logic to derail a real point.

  • @greycloud24 The internet is, largely, a text-based medium. Anyone who does not speak as clearly, concisely and accurately as possible does, to my mind - especially in this particular medium - have a speech impediment. Some of them are more easily overlooked than others, but using the 'on the internet spelling doesn't matter' excuse is just attempted justification for your own laziness. If you're going to be lazy, fine - but as a writer, I can tell you: words and their proper usage DO matter.

  • @thecryptqueen I am dyslexic but a half-decent speller with a decent vocabulary. I am fluent in "typo" but this is where punctuation comes into the picture. Sometimes, when there is something as small as a comma just missing, it changes the whole meaning drastically. It drives me nuts.

  • @thecryptqueen To be fair love you know I typo way too often :p

  • @fatalerror404TV Typos are one thing - just typing however the fuck and then trying to cover it up with 'meh, this is the internet, who gives a toss?' is another, though :p

  • @thecryptqueen Too true

  • @greycloud24 - I agree spelling doesn't matter, I was making a point. Go read stromatolite775 s other comments on this thread

  • @greycloud24 yfff eet duzunt maatr ven vis zen tense id ysy two reeds, und yntrstd. ifffytizunt ven yew ur rong. eye fink yew ur rong meyezelph. dguzt un uponion.

  • @jimthepleb "yes it doesn't matter, when it the tense you too read, and understand, if it isn't then you are wrong. i think you are wrong myself. just one opinion".

where you grow up changes the context of a sentence. so does your current mood. this is why text is a very frequently miscommunicated medium. however spelling rarely changes the meaning. a study in harvard was conducted to show that so long as the first and last letters are accurate than most people can read misspelled text easily.

  • @greycloud24 iI it doesn't matter then this sentence is easy to read and understand. If it isn't then you are wrong and i think you are wrong myself. Just an opinion... so to be entirely fair you are close but miss the main phrase fairly significantly. shorter sentences will be easier but had i chosen to substitute all vowels and to be more imaginative in my firsts and lasts i could have been even less comprehensible.

  • @stromatolite775 I love how you point out someone making a generalization while making one yourself. The anger over being dismissed by academics is strengthened by the ridicule and dismissal evident in your replies. So don't wonder for a moment as to why feelings like riverstone's exist.

You aren't doing yourself or academia any favors.

  • @Divinity33372 You are not very perceptive are you? And you understand little and project much. I have to ask you if you learned to be that way during your own extensive education?

  • @stromatolite775 and how about you do some study on how to read a comment. You seem to think "fancy lernin" was meant literally. That's silly of you, really.

  • @FeministWhore Again, read the first two lines she wrote. She begins with a general condemnation of education and then specificallly the social sciences. Her statements stand on their own. Not my area but of course social science as other science rightly comes under criticism BUT not for the reasons she espouses. Her statements reflect a mentality that I have found to be incompatible with structured learning and I find her without credibility. Do you actually?

  • @stromatolite775 I won't tell you that you don't have a point about uneducated people displaying faulty reasoning when justifying their fear and distrust of academics, but real talk, bud - I can't imagine that you're a very good educator if you display the attitude in your lectures/classes that you're displaying here.

  • @stromatolite775 Ridicule may also cause it's target to become more entrenched.

  • @SeleukosNicator323 - :( ... I kinda saw her point in saying that but I haven't been to college either

  • @FeministWhore That doesn't make your opinion and knowledge of no value. I read the comments. Stroma makes a generalization while trying to call somebody out for making a generalization. Not too mention that attitude once engaged.

  • i would say this video is awesome, but it's more than awesome...what's the word for that...the kids are using EPIC these days....

i feel the things you have said here.

    ♥♥♥

    ~aymi

  • Maybe it's me but many of this people seem to see "privilege" as a negative from the start. Or at least I get that impression. Awesome video.

  • @Sarahon06 - oh it's not just you - in that social justice sphere 'privilege' is def seen as negative, which to me it seems a lot should depend on what you do with your privilege...thanks :)

  • @FeministWhore I've noticed this whole "privilege" thing too. I love ZJ and would never unsub him, but he's displaying a rare lapse in both empathy and critical thinking here. Re the "I'd never" thing: a year ago he never thought he would have a female life partner. He had never been attracted to women at all. Now he's with Heather. He should open his mind and remember that there are no absolute circumstances in this life.

  • lets buy a new mic so when we say shit or fuck it's not emphasized... fucking noob you're like lvl 2 in LoL

  • @xxdeathx - I'll get right on that.

  • @xxdeathx Quite noob for all the attention and popularity she is getting

  • FW Like a Boss. laying it flat!

  • The fact that there is apparently a 'typical atheist' is kind of depressing really.

  • @onlynormalperson - well i don't say it's fact, cuz whatever is typical is subjective n relative and whatnot :)

  • I told you some of these seemingly rational people were going to lose it over this subject! None other! Do we feel special.

  • @xxxild - I know, yay. Special. Ugh, and you know people think we relish this 'drama', when really I think we more likely dread it.

  • @FeministWhore I'd just been doing a year review and noticed the drama from two years ago--I thought it happened this year. Either time is flying or I'm still traumatized by it! lol

  • @FeministWhore Keep doing it though, if this were another Diana thing or something like that it could be dismissed as drama but this particular fight is worth fighting.

  • Never doubt the capacity of Youtube atheists to disappoint. First Capn0Awesome blackmails his ex, then Patcondell and Thunderf00t turn into right-wing shills, and now ZJ turns into a sex-negative hypocrite. What's next? AaronRa joins the Tea Party? Is Rebecca Watson going to be arrested for feeding kittens to a carnivorous plant?

  • @yerk3 I don't see how any of those listed could get any worse, and if they did, why anyone should be surprised by it.

  • @yerk3 you know about that plant feeding thing? O.O

  • Hm guess I am not the typical atheist.

  • @GodlessManitoban - me either i guess, and good on us!

  • @FeministWhore

    Indeed.

  • I think this might be a macro pecking order kinda thing. "I may be an lgbt, but at least I'm not a whore."

  • well put I only wish I knew all of why it is the ZJ is not taken this position when she used to be about equality for all, not just the people you agree with. this still surprises me and seems extremely hypocritical of her.

  • Heather first praised the sex positive feminists for making ZJ's lifestyle more pleasant/plausible as being a viable way to live, and in the very same video states they had little or nothing to do with it.

  • @alowlyapprentice Well, in fairness, her research clearly sucked. I just wonder why ZJ keeps sucking instead of just admitting that neither of them has a clue.

  • Academics want to control, hoard & monopolize information. They are compelled to be "experts" to whom we are all beholden. It is a closed, cruel system that exploits the people they "study:" Queers, people of color, the poor, people with disabilities . . . The irony, of course, is that the academy lets a few tokens from each subgroup "achieve" in these depts., so they look progressive. But that ivory tower is greased; we can't possibly climb it. Plus, they have snipers stationed on top.

  • OMG! you attached the "gate" to the topic. XD

The hypocrisy level is high. And the failure to address contradictory ideological foundations is evident. Heather contradicts herself in her video. Which made it obvious she was biased, ignorant, or both.

  • @alowlyapprentice - i know! I gated this shit! evil hahahahaha

  • lol, one of the reasons I don't get too upset if a woman gives me the cold shoulder for not being the cutest guy in the world is because I know for a fact that if they gave me a chance, I would blow their freaking mind.. so, in essence, they missed out, not me :)

  • @pfarabee Hehe. good point. But on the other hand how do you know you didn't miss out? *giggle* XD

  • @alowlyapprentice I'm just that good. My tongue has been called magical.

  • @pfarabee LOLWUT! I just saw your profile picture. XD

  • @alowlyapprentice lol, I'm a cute lil bastard, aren't I? :)

  • Man, I really haven't been keeping up with this Heathergate thing. Guess I'll have to dig on the youtubes moar.

  • I would be honored if you hired me as a sex worker. 5 dollah I make you holla!

(Disclaimer: hollaing not guaranteed, no refunds! All recording and distribution must be done with the approved writen consent of major league baseball)

  • Well said

  • As a man who is over 50 and who has a receding hairline I can assure you I am a lot better in the sack than when I was younger and getting hit on by gals and guys.

It adds to the hypocrisy of Heather's claims about things like fat acceptance, and other forms of purely appearance based judgements that men do with women.

  • @zarkoff45 - I know and it's like it's incomprehensible to these people that there are people who actually ARE attracted to the receding hair and the pot belly, etc.

  • More than pretzels???!!!!

  • @AtomicDaytime - way more! :D

  • They don't care simply

I've pointed this out countless time in the last two days :(

  • @DarkSideOfWinter - yup, they don't, i try to focus on the ones who do care though things like this make it hard to...

  • @FeministWhore I have to wonder what part of the right in "sex workers rights" do they think is a threat to women's rights

  • I think ZJ is twisting himself into a pretzel avoiding this topic....certainly not the master of his own domain. =P

It's so funny that many atheists will say "hey, we can have moral values without god", but then claim they are not making moral judgements for the same reason...um, right. Can't have your cake and eat it too....

  • @BobChaos23 - youtube atheists ain't got no cake!

  • @FeministWhore The Cake is a LIE!!!

  • @BobChaos23 funny I said much the same thing about ZJ too especially the cake comment. -sigh- I wish I knew the full story here with ZJ I am still holding out for a real answer from ZJ herself hopefully in a video.

  • @TheBadcop69 It goes a bit further than that I think. I sense an underlying personality trait often exhibited by those skilled in rhetoric.

I saw an old video where ZJ states that he is a lesbian. Given the accepted connotation of lesbian you would have to be a woman. Right? If ZJ is a woman than not a lesbian or a cross-dresser. If ZJ is a man cross-dressing then not a lesbian. If ZJ claims to be gender neutral then not a lesbian and not a cross-dresser.

I seem to have confused myself. >.<
