  • Where is Perseus when u need him?

  • Paul reminds me of a Euro Tommy Kirk.

  • One could only hope to once meet in thier lives a woman like Barbara Shelly. Her gaze is one in which could pierce your very soul and transfix you as if a moth to a flame.

  • @Yerabasan And the voice, don't forget the voice! Plus, she's got great bone structure...

  • An interesting film. Barbara Shelley is rather special. See her in the 1960 'Village of the Damned' when she was particularly attractive!

  • Makes me want to go buy some gorgonzola cheese...:D

  • Not bad but rather hard work, particularly in five minute instalments!Don't... think...I...can make it to.... the end..

  • well, clash of the titans wasn't really accurate either and neither was xena or hercules with kevin sorbo

  • something in the dude turned to stone at that moment :P

  • How did they get Beyonce into this movie?

  • i thought their names were sandy, mandy and brandi. guess not.

  • ROTFLMAO! XD

  • See "Clash of the Titans", great fantasy film in which Medusa is beheaded by Perseus. A true Classic for fantasy horror fans!

  • the name of the gorgon its medusa not magera what its wrong

  • the idea is that medusa is dead (killed by Perseus) and magaera is the only sister left

there were originally three gorgon sisters

  • Megaera is actually the name of one of the Erinyes. The Gorgons are generally named as Medusa, Stheno, and Euryale.

  • you are totally right; in conclusion this movie is wack in more than one sense

  • I also noticed that Tisiphone was given as the name of another Gorgon sister ... again, this is one of the Furies (Erinyes).

I know I am geeking out over this, but I don't know why the filmmakers decided to change the names.

  • yeah the Gorgons seem to have been mixed up somewhat with the Furies in this movie somewhat....

  • Three explanations spring to mind:

    1) The general movie-going public are not experts on Greek mythology and would not notice.

    2) The film's writers thought the audience would better associate the names Magera and Medusa because both start with "M".

    3) The film's director preferred the name Magera to either of the actual gorgon names, neither of which rolls of the tongue easily.

  • @Capng123 Or perhaps they were misinformed?...

  • @you317 Yeah, I tend to do that to mythologically inspired movies when I'm not really enjoying them much. I picked the Clash of the Titans movie to bits but just let it all slide with Disney's Hercules. It's all based around enjoyment for me. Honestly, no one really remembers the names of the Gorgons aside from Medusa. Heck, when I hear "Megaera", I thought of "Megara", the first wife of Hercules.

  • @you317 My guess is nobody on the production could pronounce Stheno or Euryale.
