  • you couldnt have gotten a heart and a lung. you probably got double lung. if you got heart she would have only went maybe 40 at max. good shot though!

  • By fall or even late winter when this doe was shot, the fawns are self-sufficient. It takes a little less than a few months before they are able to sustain themselves. The female fawns stay with the other females in the heard even though they don't need their mothers to survive any more. The male fawns are kicked out of the female group very early on and must rely on nothing more than instincts to survive. It isn't "messed up" as you say.
