Sonny told me the other day how everyone bashed us on here so I just checked it out-haha zach you're so angry, I must give you a hug! as for anyone who dissed the actors...um hello I'm positive none of us are actors. I just wanted to be in the film because it's hilarious and I knew it would be fun to make. Besides the film isn't about acting-it's about being sexy and kicking ass, which mission accomplished. Zach and Jake, I think you guys did a great job. Thumbs up to a STUDENT FILM!
Ok, here goes my constructive criticism, take it how you want it. The intro dragged a bit much. It's good to set upthe character but maybe add more to the scene instead of staying in the bathroom. The music didnt have that exploit feel at all especially since the style of it changes throughout. The acting was fairly decent for a student film. The editing could have been a little tighter and the camera work needs the most improving. Other than that great idea.

You're not giving criticism. A criticism would be something specific like saying that the camera was sometimes too shakey. All you're saying is that you didn't like it. That's fine. I don't like coffee. Doesn't mean I run into Starbucks every day and call people idiots.

It's straight forward storytelling with some neat action and a cute twist. It has some flaws that can be brought up in a non-antagonistic workshop environment. Of course this is to be expected of any film and obviously from film students who make films in order to learn. If you have a problem with the lighting for example then it's only helpful to the filmmakers if you elaborate on what the problem is.

hahaha, the point was just to make a stupid/gross movie that made us laugh. i like that you used pseudo-intellectual and quasi-artistic, because that's not us, and not who we were trying to entertain.
we made ourselves, our friends, and our class laugh and get grossed out. that was our sole intention. every thing that you pointed out as 'bad' (acting, lighting, cheesy overdone sfx) was all very intentional.
Well fine, maybe I should just be an outside consultant to help YOU make movies.
-The editing was sloppy, the sound effects were like one of those Batman cartoons with Adam West, and I am surprised there were no thought bubbles with words like BAM and WHAP in them, followed by 13 exclamation points.
Not bad for a class project. I don't think people realize the kind of effort that goes into making even a short film like that. I thought it was pretty good.

It's straight forward storytelling with some neat action and a cute twist. It has some flaws that can be brought up in a non-antagonistic workshop environment. Of course this is to be expected of any film and obviously from film students who make films in order to learn. and yeah, tampons do look like that. it was a well-researched prop. it was slightly over-expanded, but we were going for over the top ;)

we put this together with avid pro editing software and did the mix on pro tools.
it was shot on 16mm kodak film on a bolex.
