actually the custom maps look worse on warhead...because they have the terrain yellow,and I still don't understand why......but anyway I prefer the look of original crysis, even if warhead is much more optimized...

I used an ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB, which is now considered a mid-range card, and sells for about $150 CAD. If I were you, I would invest in an HD 5870, DX11 support and about twice as powerful as the HD 4870.

@95928225 Yeah, 5770HD is good now, and unlike 58*0 or 59*0 series, it's NOT overpriced. So I'd say 5770 or 5750 is an excellent choice in both quality and expensiveness. I myself got a 5750, and I haven't seen lag on a single game Ive tried with max settings. So there is NO POINT in getting a 5870, which is almost double the price.

But I'd say, if your video card can't support the new monitor, what's the point of buying it first? So I'd say get the card first, then think about monitors.

The 5870 retains the same basic architecture of the RV770 chips, but has doubled the number of unified shaders from 800 to 1600, and upping the transistor count from 900 million to 2.15 billion. The ROPs have also been doubled. At peak, the HD 4870 is stated as being capable of 1.2 TeraFLOPs (single precision), and the HD 5870 at 2.71 TeraFLOPs.

But this might not be the case in real world conditions.

dude, u cant create a custom map on Crysis' SB2, then expect it to run fine on Warhead's optimized engine, they may look the same but they are quite different deep inside

@jumpstart201 They almost look the same, since they couldn't have overhauled massive components of the engine, and yes, I do know that they do contain differences in their code, but that doesn't hinder Warhead's ability to load custom maps made in SB2.

i also cant understand why SB2 isnt compatible with Warhead, and why Warhead doesnt even have an editor :( but the point of this video is supposed to show visual differences, and should be made using default maps only

@iPaulTube Crysis is known for killing most PC's in existance, that is, if you're looking to play at a high resolution with maximum settings enabled (AA included). A decent dual core CPU with a GTX 260 or HD 4870 will suffice for very high settings without AA at 720p, the RAM isn't too much of a concern, but I would say at a minimum use DDR2 667 (PC5300). And as for Crysis 2, it's going to be a completely different game in comparison to the original, It looks good for now :P
