If you were to take out all of the cutaway gags, Peter & Ernie fight scenes, and Conway Twitty from Family Guy, the actual length of the plot of the episode is roughly six minutes long.

Once, they actually used this to end the show. I'm serious. They had set up a serious conflict between Peter and Lois, then Peter cut away to a four minute long Conway Twitty song, then the conflict is resolved in (and I counted) less then 2 minutes, and then the show ends. The cut-away was actually longer than how long it took to actually end the debate! And don't even get me started on the 10 minute long giant chicken scenes! At least even Glenn realizes how stupid. Lol although some cutaways are lame and annoying, most of them are pretty funny. Yes, the show has MANY irrelevant cutaways, but they're funny aren't they? Shows like southpark, it's awesome but it doesn't make me laugh as much as family guy does. Wonder why everyone's making such a big deal out of "irrelevant jokes".

I absolutely hate Family Guy, but I tried to watch it once.
I got five minutes through before I had to turn it off.
In those five minutes, they did five of those "REMEMBER WHEN/IT'S NOT AS BAD AS THAT ONE TIME."
One of them was literally a minute-long reference to that star trek movie where spock dies.
That didn't have anyfuckingthing to do with the fucking "story."

Once, they actually used this to end the show. I'm serious. They had set up a serious conflict between Peter and Lois, then Peter cut away to a four minute long Conway Twitty song, then the conflict is resolved in (and I counted) less then 2 minutes, and then the show ends. The cut-away was actually longer than how long it took to actually end the debate! And don't even get me started on the 10 minute long giant chicken scenes! At least even Glenn realizes how stupid. Said it in a cat-away. Duh!
