It's weird how this song came out in September 1977, hit #1 in Japan & didn't even chart in the US. Then they release this Live At Budokan album in early '79 and it hits #7 on the charts. So, why was the US slow to take to it in '77 and '78? Because the original studio version sounds flaccid and cheesy. With a faster tempo it was a new song. Sometimes live is better.
