  • This the best movie Natalie and Hugo had ever acted I believe. One my favorite movie of all time.

  • V is the ultimate troll

  • Just a masterpiece. One of my favourite scene in one of my favourite movie, thanks.

  • Thanks for posting....this is by far my favorite scene in this great movie!!!!

  • best graphic novel ever... my favorite movie scene tho

  • Besides the watering down of the story from that of the anarchist to that of the classical liberal, it was one of the most beautiful movies ever made.

  • this is one of, if not the best scene in the film because the actors are great in it and the music is fantastic

  • Natalie Portmans performance is AWESOME!

  • Epic mind fuck by V....

  • Powerful piece of cinema, what a film

  • So when you torture a woman in the future, just talk like V and she'll love you...

  • best scene in the movie

  • Song name is "Evey Reborn" by Dario Marianelli

  • What is the song name at the ending?

  • @Freethrowswish Evey Reborn

  • Man, despite his artistic pretension, his sophistication, and many accomplishments, owes the fact of his existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil -- and the fact that it rains.

    -- Anonymous

  • what's the theme tune called in the background when she says God is in the rain.

  • @morpheus19 Evey Reborn

  • @morpheus19

    evey reborn

  • looks like he stopped the film by pushing the button lol love this movie

  • the biggest lesson of life and the hardest...face your fears and you will overcome them.......

  • "The boundaries of Liberty are drawn along points you would rather risk being deprived of your life than to be deprived of your freedom."

    -- RodCornholio

Evey realized that ideas are not only bulletproof, but are more valuable to her than her own life...and perhaps a glimpse that at least part of one's self is more than physical.

  • Evey was reborn through water while V was reborn through fire.

V wanted revenge while Evey wanted safety.

In the end they are just two sides of the same coin

  • Oh...when that beautiful woman is crying and laughing in the rain, that brought out some emotion in me.

  • This is my favorite scene in movie history.

  • If I was her I'd concentrate on the first thing she mentioned..."YOU CUT MY FUCKING HAIR?!"

  • I soo want a conversation between V and the Joker. Now that will be great philosophy on a bottle.

  • @SheAlexify Or a stand off between flying blades and Joker's Gag Gun...

  • @SheAlexify lets make it even better-V,the Joker and Hannibal Lecter.

  • It amazes me that this scene clears up what was shown earlier, V yelling in anger when the doctor explained what happened at the lab. Now, we know that he wasn't yelling in anger, but he was giving a sort of "freedom yell" a "FUCK YES" moment where he was free, just like how Evey was now.

  • Wrong, God is standing behind her.

  • You see, despite the thing she says she hates him, she didn't want to tell the truth....

  • whats a Koran?

  • @Animehem It's basically the Muslim bible.

  • @Animehem It's the Muslim Holy Book.

  • Anyone notice how wild and chlidish anger and hate makes someone look?

  • No, God is standing right behind her.

  • The more you watch this film, the better it gets. A work of genius and this scene is the most powerful, emotional and spiritual ever recorded.

    EPIC.

  • @Kristopful, it really is too :)

  • Will someone please explain this scene to me?

  • @MrBossnagger He locked her up to let her experience what he experienced when he was imprisoned at a concentration camp. just hours before he was to be executed, there was a fire that broke out and freed V just at the moment that he accepted there was more to his death than a state of non-living. So when evey was freed she felt exactly the same feeling of some greater purpose.

  • This is my absolute favorite movie, especially this scene.

  • my favorite part is when eve says "You cut my hair"

  • One of my 3 favourite films :)

  • Her performance in the Black Swan was excellent just like all of her peformances. But this scene is what she should have won the oscar for. Beyond powerful. One of the very best actors of this era.

  • @jmeadesjr So true. This is such an underrated movie. I definitely enjoyed Natalie's performance a lot in this and the chemistry with Hugo Weaving despite him wearing a mask was amazing.

  • Favourite film of all time...probably one of the most underrated films of all time as well. It should be required watching in schools, the message is so important...

  • I think this is the best movie ever made.

  • @CrazyAboutOnePiece What if she'd stomped a mudhole in his ass for doing that to her in the first place?

  • Such a beautiful scene...brings me to tears.... the power that music has... it can bring the spirit to a higher level of appreciation for life

  • This is an incredible film. The acting was excellent. Natalie and Hugo Weaving had fantastic chemistry together, and made a great team. Stephen Rea was great. The visuals and special effects were amazing, and the writing was amazing for an action film. Loved every second of it.

  • The chemistry between the two actors, the music, the acting, the visuals.... WOW!!! Hypnotizing! Excellent film.

  • There are so many scenes in this movie that just wrench you from the insides. This scene i think is one of the best parts ive ever seen with Natalie Portman. She truly embodies pain, but also enlightenment. Truly brought tears to my eyes as you see her walk into the rain as if she has just broken any kind of chains she ever had on herself. A release if you will. Such a powerful scene and one i dont think anyone who has seen this movie will ever forget.

  • dont run from it Evey you've been running all your life. What A Quote.

  • WHY DID I NEVER WATCH THIS MOVIE!!??? Am I crazy?! This movie is genius, I can tell from this scene. Wow.

  • this scene is soooo powerful. Love it!

  • You.......It was you

    ...Yea

    xP

  • powerful scene, I wish there were more thoroughly made movies like this one

  • this is so Plato`s Allegory of the Cave!

  • Once on the roof, V wanted to offer her his cape, probably to make her more comfortable. ...Looks kinda ironic after what he did to her though! :P

However, I do love how he catches Evey when she collapes and cups her cheek in his hand. <3

  • 1:25 THAT'S IT!

  • With years of homophobic torture and propaganda shoved down my throat in Catholic school, I too thought I would die with all the hate in my veins. For the longest time there was nothing more I wanted to do than to leave or attack that which caused so much misery life; I still feel it to this day. Just remember, we must never let them take away that last inch. Our integrity is the most important thing there is.

  • this scene is so empowering

  • V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what and what I am is a man in a mask.

Evey : Well I can see that.

V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.

  • This is one of the best scenes in movie history. So so so so damn good!

  • THe next song in the jukebox what is the name? when evey leaving....???

  • How did this film not win a million awards?

  • @lovelylizzie333 Because Jewishwood doesn't want the people to understand what to do :)

  • @lovelylizzie333 Because the U.S.Gay doesn't want people to get ideas, the want them to watch stuff like Faux News.

  • @lovelylizzie333 It didn't because fat cat award show organizers and people who can't enjoy a movie to simply enjoy it classify this as a comic book movie and line it up with movies like Batman And Robin. Whereas V For Vendetta is one of the greatest movies of all time.

  • @lovelylizzie333 cuz awards ain't good enough for this babe

  • @lovelylizzie333 i ask myself the samething everytime i watch The Fountain....hmm..and then i ask myself why is it, that being dumb is in fashion nowadays.....hmm...

  • @lovelylizzie333 It was too ahead of its time :/

  • @haloman123123 I think the comic book was a little ahead of its time, but this movie was perfect. And i know im going to be blacklisted by some for this, but i much prefered it to the graphic novel.

  • @TheEDeano ?? Comment removed by the government?

  • @lovelylizzie333 Cause the US government thinks its too realistic :P

  • @lovelylizzie333 I agree. This film is not just an action movie to be enjoyed by the typical movie goer. But if you truly understand this world, understand what it has become and understand the only solution. Then you will understand V; and feel what he feels. But 'V' is a fictional character, thought in the mind of Allan Moore. And Allan Moore, gave birth to more than just a story. He gave birth to an idea, embedded in paper, and shot on screen. Freedom.

  • @lovelylizzie333

It did, but they were masked.

  • @lovelylizzie333 because it came to close to showing the truth that we all live with in a lie they created and what keeps us stuck in the prison that they control is fear. I say remember the 11th of sept witch was the start of it.

  • What an incredable film!!! Movie these days that are this good are becoming so rare!! I know I might sound like some old guy by saying that, but Im only 29 years old!!

  • fuckin awesome movie!!!

  • "God is in the rain" that line prob pissed off a bunch of libs.

  • @Xantheus07 Agreed. lol

  • @Xantheus07 3:48 - 3:54 is one of this libs all time fav movie moments. Gives me chills everytime. Peace.

  • @andyt1313 I'm glad even libs can acknowledge something as powerful as this.

  • i can't feel anything anymore. love the way she says that line!

  • 1 single person didn't felt God in the rain after watching this movie

  • When Eve stepped into the rain, it represented initiation into enlightenment. This movie is full of hidden gnostic symbolism and the true meaning of this film is not as heroic and touching as many seem to think it is. V actually represents the serpent showing EVE(as in Adam and Eve) the path to enlightenment. V actually represents the dark side of humanity( or Lucifer). Alan Moore, the creator of this film, is a initiate of the mystery religions and "V" reflects gnostic beliefs to the core.

  • @elrugged1 You're actually very far off. You were right with your first sentence and that of it having gnostic influence. However, Alan moore actually talks about the themes and there has been literary analysis on the original story. Everything you said about that fucking garbage serpent story has nothing to do with it. Traditional sin is involved, but you would do yourself a favor to study real Theology at a college instead of believing internet nonsense.

  • @Tekkenman101 So a college level course means its the truth? The man who created this film said pretty much exactly what i said, from a different perspective of course, since he is an initiate. Just because some professor teaches something at an institute, doesnt make it truth. That garbage serpent story is what every civilization since the beginning of time has incorporated into their beliefs and way of life for one reason or another. Why? I dont know, thats why its called the great controversey

  • @Tekkenman101 I dont have all the answers, and i dont claim to, but you seem to think you do. So why dont you drop some of this great knowledge on me and maybe I can learn something..........

  • @elrugged1 Thanks for your opinion: the dark side... Remember, it's only an opinion. Enlightenment is not the dark side; ignorance is.

  • @elrugged1 Tell me more about this. Why would 'Lucifer' lead Eve to the path to enlightenment?

  • @Vlatce100 lucifer translates to light bringer fyi just a little heads up

  • @Vlatce100 To decieve humankind into thinking it can become Godlike. This has happened throughout history, from the apple of Eden to the Tower of Babel, to the impending one world socialist order which will likely bring about the end times. Just read the Good Book, it has everything you need to know.

  • @atheniandpa kill yourself you religious extremist..

  • @Vlatce100 ...

  • @Vlatce100 I forgive you for your hatred and would like to remind you that one day you too will die. Maybe very horribly. I do not wish that upon you. But just know that it will happen.

  • mr. creedy disliked this video

  • @Conqueror1879 this totally cracked me up, LOL!

  • out of all the scenes I've seen in movies, this is probably one of my favorite, if not my favorite scene.

  • This is one of the most beautiful scenes in movie history.

  • This video deserves way more than 35,000 views.

  • this scene reminds me of the song Rain by Creed --"i feel it's gonna rain like this for days/so let it rain down and wash everything away/i hope that tomorrow the sun will shine/ with every tomorrow comes another life/i feel it's gonna rain...for days and days"

  • This movie saved my life. No joke. Every time I watch it it's like a reminder of how to live life. Letting go of the hate and pain that surrounds us and live with love and not in fear and hate. Thank you for posting this. It means a lot to me. =)

  • It's astounding how much symbolism is in this scene

  • If God is in the rain please let it rain on meeee...

  • I believe...

  • wat was the rain symbolic of??/

  • @nikeflight17 The rain represents baptism, to symbolize the rebirth of Evey after she has been touched by god. The camera makes us follow a rain drop which will lead to her rebirth after touching her head.

  • @nikeflight17 Washing the pain away. I think.

  • this is a beatiful idea and concept about the movie and about this crazy political times. The idea and, why not, the movie are alive today, 2011, Tks!

  • I love NP, such an amazing actress and such an amazing movie!!!!

  • my favorite movie

  • When I first saw this movie I didnt appreciate it for whatever reason. Now though it has become one of my all time favorites. It is truly powerful especially this scene. God truly is in the rain.

  • 4:36 when he turned off the jukebox cracked me up

  • Everytime I watched this clip I suddenly got my personal incentive to study my WW2 History...

  • natalie portman is a scarily good actress - i have astma myself, and she portays the panic and breathing patterns exceptionally - i wonder if she really does have astma!

  • Hugo Weaving is the Best actor in the World. Period.

  • @ledgerdeathshit If Hugo Weaving and Morgan Freeman had a baby, it would be the incarnation of pure omnipotency.

  • V is one of the greatest films of all time!

  • Such an amazing scene from one of the best movies of all time.

  • ahh~! V<3 !!

I'm just totally raping the replay button right now!!

V's voice is just too unbearably sexy when he says "Hello Evey" at 0:06 !!

Oh goshness I am definitely going to be here for a while!

  • Comic is way better then the movie imho. :<

  • @SeverEnergia I wouldn't say better, a bit different though. But both are good in their own way.

  • Brilliantly written, scripted and acted. I don't know why "V" did win more awards.

  • @sweetsweatyfeet I'm sure the powers that be didn't wish to bring a whole lot of attention to this movie, and still don't.

  • @sweetsweatyfeet Agree. I've always suspected that the awards are a bit of a farce; it has more to do with politics than objective criteria. If "V" were about AIDS in Africa or about the holocaust, you bet it would have won all the awards in the world.

  • My favourite scene in the movie with a great music and top-notch acting from Natalie and Hugo.

Tastes great everytime I watch it.

  • I can relate to how..she is feeling..i feel so much more......

  • "I can't feel anything anymore!" I love that... that's so moving.

  • wow natalie portman looks hot no matter what lol ohh and great scene

  • V for Vendetta is one of the best film i watched

  • perfect scene... on so many levels

  • At £:50 Allah is in the Rain

and I stand tall whan I say this that ALlah, God of Peace and Love

SO keep saying your feeble speaches of anti-aislamya islmaphobes because it just makes Muslim stronger in beliving in Allah (swt)

  • Best movie.Best scene.

  • Love this scene!

  • This was a wonderful scene, and although it may be dumb to ask, I have to.

Does this mean Valerie isn't real?

  • @bynidrix No, she was real and V found her letter.

He put it in Evie's cell so she could find it just as he had.

  • God is in the rain,Awesomeness is in the movie.

  • Allah is in the Rain

  • @whitemanstand72 allah as well .. but not the quran that is Adolf hitler "Mein kampf" full of hate and rassism ! quran is shame fore all humanity !

  • @lastimaginator have u read the quran?

  • Sexiest film ever. Period.

    Ooft, V. I so would ;) [L]

  • A very powerful scene, but is does has some funny things (whether intentional or not).

The first time a saw this scene, I laughed a little. The reaction of V when Evey said "You got to me?" is priceless! I could almost hear him thinking "O sh**, what do I do now? Well, hiding behind the piano is a good idea... I don't want to angry her any further..."

This scene is very serious, but I've seen quite a few parodies (especially with the "you cut my hair" and the accent of NP).

  • I know! The other funny one for me was when Evey walked in on him fighting with the armour. I think he said muttered something like 'Evey! ...Oh, God...'

    xD

  • I dont know if I am right but her outfit and state seems to me a reference to the budists(I think write this way), the bald hair, the orange ''robe'' and the peace in her, like she have reach ilumination.

  • I like that. I never thought about that before. You are very right!

  • @sturm198 Not to mention the MORE than obvious comparison of the "baptism" at the end of the scene where we have the baptism of fire for V and the baptism of rain (purified water as referenced by "God is in the Rain") for Evey...

  • @sturm198, ohhhhhh good catch

  • @sturm198 WOW!!! :-D Thanks!!!

  • @sturm198

    Good POV

  • It made me cry too.

  • this is one of the only movies that made me cry

  • this movie saddens me because its one more trick by the gov't to give hope to the people while still installing the idea subconsciously that this is not possible. everyone falls for this movie as some type of hope. its one of the evilest tricks out there lol

  • EVERYONE?! oh rly...
