Hair does that if it's really healthy and flexible. That and I think they animated the object it was attached to in order to allow themselves to see just what the hair does and how it reacts.

to render movie: set your render setting in the Scene menu (F10). Under format change the default JPG to AVI or QUICKTIME. Set the STA: and END under the anim tab to your first and last frame respectively, otherwise by default it will be 250 frames. Under OUTPUT change the first folder link to point where you want to save the animation. Now Press CTRL+F12 for the RENDER > RENDER ANIMATION. Now your file should be in the set folder as something like 000001.AVI .

Im having a problem downloading blender 2.46 for all formats-- ive downloaded it before but now it just doesnt seem to work- ive tryed on all my comps- mac and pc-- still wont work- when i click the download link it just sits there .. doing nothiing until it says timed out or somthing- ive tried with Fire fox and safari to no avail--

ANY IDEAS WOULD BE NICE- thanks :D

It ok now- the link to download blender on blender(.) org wasnt working- after a while i tried 'rightclick -> open in tab or somthing and it worked :D

haha. that is a very funny question. the answer is YES! With the addition of applying soft bodies to particles and also the particle edit mode (the ability to edit individual particles) it is much more complete.
