@partialpants Game of Thrones does follow the books rather well, but there is still TONS of changes, some of which really pisses me off, but I still love the show. Like the last episode with the Cat and Jamie conversation, that don't even happen till the end of book 2, and he wasn't a jack ass about, he was very honest and told the whole truth, and wtf at them leaving the wall at the end of the episode. That don't even happen till like the middle of the 2nd book. But i love the book and show.

a) 1 minute of script= 1 page. That means Alan Ball needs double the amount of content to the books.

b) The books aren't great- The show is receiving more critic/audience recognition for a reason.

Also, I'm a literature graduate and generally prefer novels but it's true.

Who the fuck cares? A lot of books that get turned into movies/tv shows are barely if not nothing like the books that they are supposed to be based on. Anyone going into something based off a book shouldn't expect it to be like the book. The script is written by someone different, and it goes threw tons and tons of rewrites, and they took tons of stuff that they don't find interesting themselves out.

The show is good, there isn't any problems with it. So enjoy it or don't and stfu

For example, it's very easy to believe the realism of the True Blood world Everything remains unchanged apart from the fact that there are supernatural beings. In this clip, the environment is almost totally fantasy. If the entire show was like this it would be a fantasy series and something that a lot of the MR fans wouldn't be interested in, myself included.

I wasn't sure if I would like the Fae part of the series but it's actually really cool. I hope we get to see more of the Fae. I don't want it to be like Supernatural where they introduce an awesome character like Eve and they kill her off without expanding on her at all.
