@DjStiv3 actually it was SONY that tried to screw over Nintendo. And another thing, Even if the plans went forward for the snes cd add-on SONY was still working on a stand alone game console that was compatable with the SNES (not the PS1 That we know of today). But since it did fall through they developed the stand alone unit as we know of today. either way we would still have playstation.

I guess it's all about trial and error when it comes to making video games and the hardware... The 64DD is an example of that.

It does work with american 64s altho you need a japanese copy of F-ZERO X for it to work with the expansion and it does NOT work with uk PAL N64s as the 64DD is a 60HZ system and the PAL N64s are 50HZ i know as i own a Randnet DD myself and im from the UK i use my jap n64 to play it :)

@SlyGamer1000 yea. i wish it made it over seas. too. now if i ever want one i need to go on ebay and fork over $800. just for the 64dd and no games nor expansion. (to me thats a rip off) but one person is selling some games, n64, and 64dd for 100 dallors less. on ebay but still alot of money fr something made over a decade ago

@MrSomeGamerdude Indeed. But after all it's very rare these days. It flopped (sadly) and they didn't produce many, that's why there aren't many 64DDs and that's why they are so expensive. If I'd have the money I'd definitely buy one.

@hothmandon Dude.....You're kidding me, read the description. Of course its NOT regin locked. Its goes on any (emphasis on any) N64 console.
