God loves you, and whoever believes that Jesus Christ the Son of God died for their sins, was buried and rose again will have eternal life in Heaven. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved,” - Acts 16:31
im still wondering about fractional charge.. is it possible that there is a particle that carries only charge ? and each quark is made of 1 or 2 of theese depending on its flavour?
and wouldnt there also be particles for weak charge, color charge and gravity charge?
There is no evidence for such an arrangement, and there is no need because the current configuration of quark properties in the Standard Model is sufficient to explain all observed phenomena.
Since it is a fundamental particle, it is not made up of anything else. String theory suggests that all the different fundamental particles are different vibrational modes of something you can picture as a string.
Quarks and strings and electrons are on the scale of a Planck Length -- one string per fundamental particle. Composite particles like protons and neutrons are a billion billion times larger.
If it is 1 string per fundamental particle.... then should it not make 3 strings per 1 proton or neutron as these are made of 3 fundamental particles?
Because the three quarks that make up a nucleon (each being a string perhaps) are on average more than a billion billion times farther apart than their individual sizes, the size of the composite particle is that much larger than a string size.

why wud god put a down quark on earth?
2pacdragonforce 2 years ago
@2pacdragonforce "god" didnt put a down quark on earth. "he" put them in the universe
MrJackclarke 1 year ago
@2pacdragonforce Down quarks aren't "on earth". Earth is made of down quarks.

@vaguelyhumanoid well why would he put them in the universe if we cant even interact with them?
2pacdragonforce 1 year ago
@2pacdragonforce What are you talking about? We're made of quarks...

@vaguelyhumanoid haha srry im new to this whole science stuff

i know but hasnt anyone wondered where charge comes from?
sidewaysfcs0718 2 years ago
u should make a video about strings ...even if string theory is still new ...we want more visual perspectives :D

These are really, really, really, nice videos... keep it up as you teach thousands of people, knowledge.

yea these vids really explain it better then even physicists do.....but still they aint long enough by far!!! i wanna learn more god damn it!

Hmm... how big is one of those strings compared to the atomic particles we're learning about? Like, how many would make up a down quark?

But then, why did you said that Composite Particles are a billion times larger?

basicly the composite particles are alot of emtpy space.

Congratulations! Your Quantum Physics videos are fantastic. In a more
perfect, intelligent, world you would be getting millions of hits. As a quantum physicist I must take my hat off to you.
