Depends Old School 426 Hemis are based around the mopar RB block shared with 440s but the HEMIs have different pistons/rod/crank than a 440 and where hand built in Mopar's industrial plant The real early hemis of the 50's are a seprate design to themselves. And todays 5.7L (350ci) hemis are to say the least not really hemis they more or less are (semi-hemis)
