@heaty007 I am not "defending" white people, but one of the unintended consequences of Zimbabwe's land reform (among MANY others) is that 100's of thousands of good jobs earning decent money (farm employees)were lost by the takeover. Initially Mugabe did some great things for his country, he raised the literacy rate, education levels,life expectancy etc. But Mugabe has recently gone crazy and power hungry and the people who are suffering the most are African blacks. I feel so sorry for them.

Furthermore, Mugabe did the "land reform" as a way to try and build up his rapidly declining support. But Mugabe thought that a free farm for blacks stolen from their rightful owners would help him, unfortunately his people starved instead.

Huge publics works projects were erected, it was a great time in Libyas history, living standards for everyone rose dramatically. The discovery of natural gas deposits in 1959 only helped matters, even after Gaddafis takeover. Zimbabwe will not follow suit, because it has no good leaders, no education system, and its full of black people, unlike Libya.

You didn't read my post. American laws applied to all that were American, and the Founder didn't specify in theory or practice that blacks were exempt from them. Therefore, one would conclude that if laws did apply, then blacks were citizens as only citizens of America were directly punishable under US law.

America was founded primarily by whites, but from its very conception it was never a white nation. Blacks were considered chitlin and half men, but still a part of the nation all the same. So too did Native Americans have some recognization. Only citizens were answerable to American law, and certainly American laws did apply as much to black slaves as they did to white landowners. Thus was the proof is in the pudding that America was for everyone from the very beginning.

If I worry 24/7 to feed myself, which is the case without commercial farming, how am I going to build roads, hospitals, and schools? I know there are plenty of native Nigerians who are good commercial farmers, but think of how much more plenty can be had by all, can be exported so Nigerians can import more consumer goods and make it richer country. @heaty007 I am not "defending" white people, but one of the unintended consequences of Zimbabwe's land reform (among MANY others) is that 100's of thousands of good jobs earning decent money (farm employees)were lost by the takeover. Initially Mugabe did some great things for his country, he raised the literacy rate, education levels,life expectancy etc. But Mugabe has recently gone crazy and power hungry and the people who are suffering the most are African blacks. I feel so sorry for them.

I cried when I saw an interview during the hyperinflation for a group of retirees in a nursing home (who were middle class blacks who worked and saved for their retirement) who were starving because their savings were destroyed by hyperinflation. Furthermore, Mugabe did the "land reform" as a way to try and build up his rapidly declining support. Keep in mind that this man has had his political opponents beaten, tortured, imprisoned or killed and nearly all of them were black. But Mugabe thought that a free farm for blacks stolen from their rightful owners would help him, unfortunately his people starved instead.
