How much would you guys charge for Performance Exhaust on an E90 328i installed? Also, when the F30 3ers start rolling out will it be harder to find this exhaust system for the E90? Thanks in advance.
@stigger91 BMW will continue it's BMW Performance product line as long as there is demand. Rest assured, the new 3 will receive BMW Performance products!
As you can see both cars are new, not yet broken in and raced well beyond the recommended break-in rpm without even being warmed up first. So when you buy a new BMW at United BMW, you know you're buying a car that was probably abused by the service staff. Thanks for the comparison though, I'm definitely sold on the BMW Performance exhaust.
These cars were the 08 test vehicles, first on the lot that were driven by every customer. We didn't just take any car to tear up, these were already ragged by many customers who decided to take a test drive.
We do hope you enjoyed the sound of the exhaust! :)
@aarontharris The cars were sitting there idling for lord knows how long, I guarantee they didn't flog it on a cold engine. Besides, most dealers can be much worse.
I have a 2010 135i white with red leather loaded with M-sport and 6 speed manual. Love the car. Doing the Dinan stage 2 software next week which will bump up the HP to 384 (300 stoick) and torque to 421 LB FT (up from 300). I am wanting to do the free flow exhaust as well but can't decide on the BMW performance one VS the Dinan one. Any comparisons would be helpful....anyone. Thanks
@GCBBLB BMW Performance is a free flowing mid-pipe and also a free flowing muffler. Dinan is nothing but a muffler. Dinan is also quieter, but is better looking. Best bang for the buck is BMW Performance, as it is $850.00 shipped from us
@UnitedBMW Thank you for the feedback. You say the Dinan muffler is quieter than the BMW performance one? From You Tube, the Dinan does seem to be fairly tame at idle but when you step on it the sound seems to get pretty sporty in a classy euro sport way. Does the BMW one have any drone? How loud is the BMW one VS the stock one on a scale of 1-10? I hear that the 2011 135i has a different muffler again and apperantly it is a bit louder than the 2010. What does replacing the mid-pipe do? Thanks
@bradleyland Thank you! Let us know if you want to order it! We've got it in stock :) $850.00 shipped to the US. Add $120 freight to Canada, and $275.00 freight anywhere else
have u mentioned the convertible isnt even redlined? i dont see any difference in exhaust comparison other then the fact that u drive the convertible one at low rpms to make the performance exhaust sound better
These cars were the 08 test vehicles, first on the lot that were driven by every customer. We didn't just take any car to tear up, these were already ragged by many customers who decided to take a test drive.
a girls car? what are you retarded? i just rode in one yesterday and let me tell you...shit dipppssss so why don't you go test drive one or some shit and then say it's a girls car
BMW claims 5hp or so, however I beg to differ. On the next exhaust, I plan on taking it to the dyno across the street to see some before and after results. This is a great mod if you do not want to void any kind of factory warranty.
Let me know! The exhaust price for the 135i is currently $790 shipped for August. Prices change monthly, could go up or down. In June & July it was $995 shipped
Auto 0-60 is 4.7 seconds......from Car and Driver (not from BMW website, they didn't put the fastest time. I guess that's so people wouldn't buy the 135i instead of M cars)
already done. it was the 135i with 335i and outgoing m3 and 135 was quicker during standing launch, weaving through cones, and m3 had the better braking.
this was because 135i is much lighter than the other 2 with the same engine as the 335i
Well in my perspective, who WOULDN'T want to buy a BMW WITHOUT a manual transmission? That's the whole fun of the car: having more control though a manual transmission. I know for sure I'd get a manual.
lol 135i with the Performance Exhaust has been broken in properly from driving back and forth to meets. I'm going with the story of "I didn't go over 5k RPM" on the Convertible :)
thank you for this video. smart comparing stock and high performance one can you please make more vids comparing other stock vs performance parts for the 135i
These cars are fast not doubt, but they do not sound nice. Its not deep or a good high pitch tone. 370z sound a lot better and G37.
But Id still take the BMW over them.

@stigger91 FYI, 328 engine is completely diff from the 35s. the sound will vary greatly due to the turbos

Respond to this video... i love how you can hear the turbos spool from far away

I bought the 135i with the Black Chrome wheels and the black chrome exhaust tips. it doesnt sound like either of these cars.
do you know which exhaust I have?
OperJeff 3 years ago
hmm? black chrome wheels and black chrome exhaust tips doesnt sound like anything that BMW would put on
ApachyDaro 3 years ago
Black tips means you have the stock exhaust. The BMW Performance exhaust is chrome tips and only chrome

Both around 13.3s 1/4 runs.
