  • @speedy02 hes more of a man in his 39 years on this earth that you will ever be in 100 years! and your lying come to philly and say that in a black mans face!

  • @speedy02 As stated before its easy to say that on a computer but, say that same thing to a black man face to face!!! your a coward! Rev. Dr. King was one of the marvels of this country...go read one book on him and I promise you will be amazed..I recommend David J. Garrow's text :Bearing the Cross...idiot!

  • @clearview360x nigger are monkeys. not people. thay all need to be put in a zoo. us cubans are way better than a nigger is. everyone loved him so much they shot his ass!lol

  • @speedy02 it's real easy to hide and say that behind the internet, go to anywhere where black are at and say those exact words face to face that's all i bet u can't coward.

  • @MIZIKE69 I already have!:)

  • MLK is WAY overrated!!

  • @speedy02 your crazy for making that statement - how many men today would put risk getting killed to end segregation & stand up for equal rights my parents lived in the south during the 1950's & 1960's

  • @speedy02 obviously u dont understand what the word overrated means. I'll forgive u for ur ignorance if u promise to go study one of the greatest minds of the 20th century. come correct please!

  • "It is a crime to live in a rich country and recieve starvation wages."

    Tell that to Japan.

  • i am from Europe and i have nothing to do with the slaves but i am a shamed my rase did that to black people... i think we all have to apologies to black people for what they had to go threw, aseptically u Americans how teach democracy to the rest of the world

  • @OsvobodilnaFronta I support your point of view. God bless you.

  • @leeuniverse You seem to be misinformed about both what MLK was doing, and what is happening now. Watch my lecture on employment discrimination tonight (Tues 11/1/2011) on dominguezonline, or if you miss it, catch the archive here on the CSUDH channel of You Tube. I will be showing this video as part of the class. (The class is LBR412 - Labor Law).

  • @JDSackman Correction - I will be showing this next Tuesday - 11/8/2011, when I lecture on public employee relations. This week I will be showing the "I Have a Dream" speech, as I lecture on employment discrimination.

  • Damn! It would be so fuckin' cool to read comments where "your" is not used where "you're" is required. This shit is 3rd grade teaching....damn!!!!!

  • POR FAVOR SI ALGUIEN QUIERE TRADUCIR EN ESPAÑOL ESTE DISCURSO DEL DR.KING....GRACIAS.

  • THANKS SO MUCH Y'ALL, THANKS SOME MUCH Y'ALL, THANKS SO MUCH Y'ALL

PRAISE GOD FOR SUCH PROGRESS OF SOME MANY WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD,,I LOVE THIS

  • The struggle continues to this day, we are ruled by supremasists and their desire for power is insatiable. They still beat us with sticks held by the hands of officers we pay for with taxes.. Who calls the shots? Corporations.. Do u see the parallels? check out gugu.org.uk

  • I think we're about there NOW. W have to make a stand for something or die for nothing....

  • We r AFSCME!!!! Council 25 here!

  • Inspiring film!

  • @oddtreenow2

Does that discount the man’s ultimate sacrifice? And is it a sacrifice you would make?

  • Martin Luther King is encoded in the King James Bible several times.

See the Aimed At America 2 video for examples on youtube.

  • Now this was a fight for civil rights, equality, workers' rights, and fair treatment, not sweetheart deals, ridiculous entitlements, and gravy train benefits. Some of the things union members call "rights" now would likely bring tears to Dr. King's eyes.

  • @lkdsign You dont know what a union is about. So your saying the unions get more than big business?? exxon got 4 billion dollars in welfare this year along. Dr King would have tears in his eyes if he saw that. Dr King would cry when he saw the chump Reagon break the air traffic controllers union. first they came for the jews and i did not speak, then they came for the blacks and i did not speak. when will you speak America? Republicans are criminals.

  • YOU ARE A MAN AND YOU ARE STILL ALIVE MARTIN .

  • The activities of the past have become a great impact of today's fight for justice. We must seize the moment to take advantage of all the blood that was shed, all the hurt and pain felt, all the blisters, spit wet clothes, painful eyes filled with pepper spray. The ground work has been laid and we must walk on it with pride and dignity. Though tragic to the eye, Dr. King fulfilled his purpose and we have our work left to do. Let's stand on the promises of God, and show ourselves approved.

  • On to Wisconsin, on to Ohio, on to Indiana, and to all of America!

  • This is a timely video. What was Martin Luther King Jr. doing when he was killed? What is happening now in Wisconsin? If he wasn't taken from us so untimely, he would be in Madison now, supporting the public workers there, just as he was supporting the public workers in Memphis as shown here.

  • @JDSackman I could not disagree more. What is happening there now is SO far from the rights that Dr. king advanced that he would likely have no part of it. A man with King's noble charges could probably not even exist in today's society.

  • How can it be.

Why are people punished for what they are.

Why would anyone ever have to cry out I AM I MAN.

Why all the injustice against life!

    We are human beings.

  • I AM A MAN!!!!!

  • fran--inho--people like u are the disgrace. You can never paint with that broad a brush.

  • That dream is now shit..70% of African American are doing nothing for themselves, drug dealing, crack smoking, welfare from childhood until death, project housing, too lazy to get a job, very rude, no respect for anyone. This man is not happy where ever he is..70% of African/Americans are a disgrace to this country..your need to start training your kids, can't say go back to Africa, they don't want your over there earthier. A fucking DISGRACE!!!

  • @fran21ish Where did you get those statistics? You need to get your facts straight before you start you start spewing out ignorant statements. Learn how to spell while you're at it. The word is "you're", and not "your". The other word is "either" and not "earthier". Instead of criticizing others, maybe you need to take a look at yourself. You have a long way to go before you can call anyone a "disgrace".

  • Dr. King the greatest man to ever live thank you Dr. KING

  • In 1968 I was in Vietnam I was with a unit working out of DaNang but spent very little time there I was very busy at that time cleaning up some things after the Tet Offensive around Hue city,Dong Ha and northern fire bases. We had no information on what was going on back in the world. I did not get back into DaNang until April 16. That's when I found out as I was fighting for democracy for the Vietnamese people Martian King had been shot down in America

  • @tdlvlum Thank you for your service.

  • This video shows the turning point - the next phase of the Civil Rights Movement. Dr. King was now focusing on Economic Empowerment. We all know what happened to the Reverend Dr. Martin King shortly there after - the threat to assainate him was carried by the Axis of Amerikkan Evil - Our Dr. King was silenced but the struggle will never end nor be silenced - there will be resistance but it will fail! The poor and disenfranchised will not be denied - the streets are wakening up!

  • Human beings are 99.9 percent the same DNA, now that u all know that, can u please tell me does everybody in america need glasses!

  • his dream isn't dead - just so you know...I am of irish descent.....they don't come much more pasty white than me - but so much has changed. I don't think you will ever erase the irational hate do to race but our country is nothing like what it was then. much of what he wanted is now possible. his loss tho was so.........i don't even know. Brilliant man....we need more people of all creeds, colors, race, and gender of his integrity

  • @shadowsong1 That was such a great comment. I totally agree with you. We need more people with that integrity. But as the words of Martin Luther King Jr " A genuine leader is not a searcher of consensus but a molder of consensus." We can all start to lead shadowsong, we don't need someone to do it first.

  • @shadowsong1 Here is a bottle of self tanner.

  • thank you for fighting for sanatation i work for them now i have 14 years on

  • Let us remember what MLK was doing when he was taken away from us. He was helping public employees (yes, the public employees who are subject to so much denigration today). He was helping sanitation workers in their strike against the City of Memphis. A struggle, not just for better wages and working conditions, but for dignity. "I AM A MAN" was the call. "I am worthy of dignity and respect. My work is worth dignity and respect." Amen.

  • @JDSackman Amen.

  • @JDSackman Your trying to compare what these men went through and MLK fought for is simply shameful..... Modern liberal "entitlement" mentality is not what those earlier fights were about, they were about basic human quality of life. Your liberal entitlement that the states should pay for your cupcakes and tootsie rolls, as well as some of the best pay and benefits in the nation, is simply SHAMEFUL. Wicked liberals! Your efforts are not about rights and dignity, it's about selfishness!

  • What a lost to our nation!!!!! Dr. King is still dearly missed even to this day.

    Betsy

  • Happy Birthday, Dr. King. We who work the little jobs salute you.

  • Happy Birthday, Rev. King. Dues check off rules.

  • Interestingly, it is an historical fact that those young individuals who started the riot were paid by FBI informants to do so in an effort to discredit Dr. King's nonviolent efforts.

  • the government brought in the army to control(?) the crowd, the government told the police to "break it up" and use violence and mace to control (?)...it was a peaceful protest until the government got violent...it's as though the government only knows violence...

  • What's scary is that 43 years later, the Extreme Right uses Martin's words to paint themselves as victims, being taken advantage of by the working poor and those in poverty. Who is writing THEIR speeches? Billionaires, who are the first in line to scream out "class warfare." We're living in Bizarro World. How sad, America.

  • YES... IN UNITY THERE IS STRENGTH

  • Money property system is ROOT of ALL problems, it creates/exploits scarcity, never creates enough jobs, allows people on top to control everyone/thing

    1. people need food, water, energy, etc.

    2. sharing all resources and knowledge allows maximum cooperative efficiency

    3. creating an abundance of all our needs makes money, gov, crime obsolete

    4. automating the production distribution, frees up humanity to no longer be wage slaves to governments or corporations

  • "When a public official (or a CEO) tells a group of men to get back to work and then we'll talk and treat them like they are not human, that is a racist point of view."

Tell that these companies today: Samsung, Nike, GAP, Tommy Hillfiger, LG, Toshiba, Sony, Addidas.

  • This is the worst of America. Police acting as Nazi SS in the streets of Memphis. Many during that time had the audacity to call MLK a communist when they were acting as Nazi. What a joke. That is why is so important to vote in this country, because the right wing would love to return to the good old days of the 1930’s.

  • a big character in history, showing us what he could do with the power of words, and not the power of firearms

  • this guy is tar

  • this guy is tar

  • Ignorance is one of mans greatest flaw. The fact that we even consider ourselves "children of God" like we actually deserve such a title is pathetic. No children of God would sit by, and watch while innocent children get raped, killed, and tortured.

We have supposed "holy" priests who commit despicable acts on young boys, and people that kill each other in the "name of God". Then we say we are blessed children of God? Lets fix our problems before we start looking towards God for anything.

  • @NeutralExistence

    Perfectly put.

  • No Teleprompter at the time he gave these speaches.....Absolutely brillant.

  • As a muslim, we see all humans to be equal, no matter of race, culture, or gender we are all created by only one god and we should treat each other with respect and honor. Muslim nations have never opposed any race of any kinds, b/c the holly quran states that it is a sin when you treat someone unequal. martin luther king was a man of inspiration, enthusiasm and passion. He died with honor and dignity may allah bless him with everything in heaven for what Dr. King tought us and brought to us.

  • @ROBMAT2010 What about the Muslim nations that started the Western slave trade? And the slave trade in Sudan. And the slave in almost every other Muslim nation before and since Muhammad. Slavery existed throughout the world until the West stopped it. Racism will always exist as long as evil does. Are you saying there are no sinful Muslims? I think you should read your Quran again and look at how hard Muhammad thought it would be to be a Muslim. Not everyone can always fulfill those moral demands

  • on bealf of the native anerican in vanada

  • @trulybless7 and you are obviously an idiot

  • JESUS,is the leader of the black nation.Dr.king taught us to seek peace with whites, but JESUS taught us to seek peace with GOD.

  • If anyone leaves a racist comment on one of Dr King's videos, honour Dr.King with your restraint.

The provocateurs in the march were led by undercover Memphis Police Department officer Marrell McCollough (who worked for the C.I.A. as of 2000).

    6:16

King's staff didn't organize the march - unusual...

Mr. McCollough was the first on scene to check Dr. King's vital signs.

    What a coincidence !

  • A true American hero. So brave. So right.

  • It's so crazy to think that happened in history!

  • Waow O__O

  • sins and tides be erased

  • This is what the Church and everone who "Names and calls on the name of Jesus Christ, ahold be about. The wholistic message and ministry of Jesus, any and everwhere it is needed and called for in society, the world. this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Spirit, Soul and Body. Wholistic.

  • A struggle for freedom, for dignity, for decency & for equality.

  • @ tbursee... he spoke the truth and he was not afraid to die for his beliefs. The man was a prophet. thank goodness for this man.

  • this is why he was murdered. He changed his focus from non violent social change to economic. the white man will not let you screw with his money. Kings opposition against the war was the nail in the coffin.

  • @tbursee That's what my mom always taught me. She said it was the War on Poverty that got him killed.

  • @tbursee

I agree. He was also too powerful a influence over oppressed and belittled non- white people.

  • didnt listen to him did they??

  • @rthing I love that all fucking racists have internet balls. They would never have the guts to say anything like this in public.

  • Unless they're a Faux News commentator.

  • light dark acceptence

  • Non-violent protest was a noble experiment but, it failed in the U.S.

Gandhi was successful with passive resistance because he knew the weaknesses of British social and political rigidity. The Scientific Dictatorship in the U.S. has no such weaknesses that Gandhi's method can exploit.

The NWO gave blacks their civil rights only as far as it provided camouflage to a more powerful tyranny that was under construction. The Tree of Tyranny can't be pruned with words. It must be chopped down in fury

  • i agree.

  • extremely insightful...

  • @InfiniteMushroom It's all in stages. To say "it didn't work" is to not acknowledge all of the change, up to and including Barack Obama.

The work isn't done, for sure. But it has begun.

  • @InfiniteMushroom Yeah because Indian independence was a completely peaceful success story. It's not like a million people died as a result of partition or that the partition of the punjab resulted in religous genocide or anything...

Get real. One of the most important factors in India's withdrawal from India was the fact that Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs were all committing atrocites and Britain wanted to get out with as little egg on her face as possible (ie not being seen to allow them).

  • @elkrobber *Britains withdrawal

  • Communism have been funded by the same international bankers as cartel-captialism has, so both of those extremes are controlled paradigms.

  • thanks for the comment petera41. youre the best!

  • Tyrell gotz' a job an sheet' Itz all bette rnow an' shit.Weez livin' fatnshit nomesayin.howd it<<whrezeryou at???Muddfuggah aint leavin an shit......muddafugga

  • Sorry.but most of the time the word you should use is"racialism" not just racism.

  • Now 35 years later you have your "rights" How is this country better?

  • even if he plagerized, the things he said were still the truth, the racists were wrong. they were horrible people who were the oppressors... if they were your ancestors, then I feel sorry for you, but I feel more sorry if you are continuing their ignorance & not making it a priority in your life to be better than they were.

  • @andshee thankyou for your comments when can do more we can wok together to put a great halt on racism are you interested

  • maybe... depends on what you are referring to.... :-)

  • @petera41 absolutely yes continue to communicate with me

  • I always love when men say King plagiarized or was a philanderer. They somehow have selective amnesia as it relates to the history of blacks in America. Rather than acknowledge white racism, they can only target King's failings. That is their get out of the history of white racism in America free card. Just acknowledge that your ancestors and fathers of this nation sinned against God and man. They spit on the golden rule they taught others and somehow thought they would have eternal salvation.

  • @fothgt Your a smart man or woman to know that

  • martin rocks! am not black am white am happy!

  • @nievez43 thank you fo you comments but ty to assist us in this matter if you can to end racism we can wok togethe black and white to stop it or put a dent in it.

  • Love hates hate.

  • america hates u

  • @LADYDIVAA Got news for ya; America hates EVERYONE!!!

  • well, that solved all our problems... thanks for the insight (I'm being a smart ass in case you didn't' get it.)

  • What a pitty the USA had a civil war to show we are all equal that man was shot.Dr King wanted to show we are all equal he was shot.JFK the same he was shot there is a patten here. You can put a man on the moon yet you cannot say you are all equal please don`t let these people die for no reason if you can look pass a skin you are a good human being peace to you and yours . . .

  • What a Brilliant Man!!!!

  • Id love to read those article for myself. Can you cite the major papers and the headlines? Thanks. Otherwise shut the f**k up and iron your sheet.

  • @RJMBrick I've seen much more talented minds, his work is much appreciated though.

  • I think God smile then he thinks Martin Luther King :D I hope he are sitting in the land of beautiness and happyness :D

  • you dont know if there are a god ! i like king, maybe you dont, but i do!

  • @theloneshenanigan

You claim plagerization. Show your proof.

  • who killed Dr Martin Luther King Jr and why?

  • the gov and because he was getting to loud against there taking away of rights which they did

  • Hate a fear killed Dr. King! The people who were behind his actual killing we will never know because the only people who know are either dead or sworn to secrecy due to the threat of death. We can only speculate and assume. A very tragic thing that happened none the less. Very sad!

  • lloyd jowers and possiblly lt. earl clark. in 1998 the king family filed a wrongfull death against jowers and other conspritators a memphis jury found jowers responsible on dec 8 1999 the assasination involved goverment agencies.

  • Great man.We miss you.Wish you were here. Today

  • @RicxelArms thankyou fo your commen on mlk

  • @RicxelArms I know, can you imagine how his dream would have expanded? He was only 39yo when he died. I was 15 at the time. King had the touch. When he died the dream died with him. He was the one and only. A crying damnable shame.

  • Thanks, Thank you Martin Luther King Jr., no words will ever give weight to the many doors you have open and your presence in this world. You were more than an hero, you put yourself out there and your life for others whose voices were unheard to be heard I wish we had leaders like you today who stood for something!!!

  • You can say that again.

I think Bill Hicks said it best when he would talk about how we always kill the good people and let the demons run amuck.

  • I so agree, a man who wasn't rich in money but rich in a sense of his purpose on earth, to make sure the ones who find it hard to step out and voice their discontent of issues he would stand up for them and I miss leaders like that today. He stood for something & unfortunately Billy Joel says it in a song.."only the good die young...". A great leader & an inspiration to my generation.

  • we did it

  • ministers of today should be ashamed of themselves..

  • why do you say that?

  • king dared to speak on social issues and worked tirelessly to better the social economic crisis that cripples the poor. ministers don't speak or have any involvement in social issues. king represented that last minister who preached the "social gospel"....

  • I was neither agreeing with you or disagree with you because I didn't know what your line of thinking was behind what you said. But to be honest There are not a lot of social issues that are as relevant as racism was in the 60's. Sure there is abortion but you have so many Christians that disagree on the issues it would be hard to over turn. I will admit that Ministers today should be ashamed. But not for the reason you just gave. Thanks for your insight.

  • The social issues that were alive and well then are so today. You see our country meddling with and policing countries around the world on a far grander scale than it was in the 60's. MLK opposed this. Our media and information acquisition is manipulated daily and this impedes the liberty of a republic. Again, these are times where silence, just as in the 60's, is betrayal.

  • These were the days when AFSCME stood for something. They have lost their way since.
