I agree with a previous comment. He is in my opinion one of the greatest singers in the world today. His voice can be soft and powerful, and he puts some much emotion into his singing. He becomes a real actor when he sings. I discovered him recently and has become my favorite tenor after Placido Domingo. I love the way he mixes the pop style with his beautiful tenor voice. Amazing .... unique....
I love the audience reaction to this performance, giving an almost instant standing ovation! Hard to believe that the guys from ABBA wrote this moving song (along with Tim Rice).
A huge stage hit in Sweden for several years, Kristina was more recently performed, in English, in concert form, at Carnegie Hall. Starring [original title role] Helen Sjoholm, Russel Watson, & others.
Nicely done (avail. on CD), & great hearing it in English, but I personally prefer the singing of the Swedish performers---less theatrically melodramatic, and more emotionally believable & just plain beautifully sung, IMHO. There are several hauntingly gorgeous songs here.
A very soft tone, but what a power.I really like the "riffs" at the end.And of course he shows some of his brilliant high notes;D...Very funny to hear a classical tenor singing in pop-style but remaining in classical voice:D
This man is amazing. No other words are needed to describe this performance.

@scottarooni
If you think that’s ‘hard to believe’ (tho it shouldn’t be) check out songs from the musical Kristina, written by ABBA’s B&B after Chess.
Highlights:
--- "Guldet blev till sand” (sung by Peter Joback) or “Gold Can Turn To Sand” (Kevin Odekirk)
--- "Stanna” or “Stay”
--- "Du Måste Finnas” or "You Have To Be There” (Helen Sjoholm)

@bobster0 I hadn't heard of this one. Was it done in English? And did it go to Broadway? I prefer Chess to Mama Mia, though.
