  • todd haynes you are a real film maker. ^^ thank you for making IM NOT THERE.

  • Todd, I just want to take the time to wish you a Happy Birthday today.

  • All ego - no heart. Thank goodness for Suze Rotolo's book. The timing is perfect.

  • Portland's treasure! A great American filmmaker. His work illuminates and enriches with each viewing.

Thanks for all your work and your vision.

    A friend from Portland

  • Is Ben Whishaw in it a lot, I love him but I don't like Dylan?

  • Well he is in it a good amount but probably the least but still he is cool in it

  • he makes life bearable, keep keeping' on Bob..

u may be jewish, but i love u like jerry lewia

    peace to all...

    peace in the middle east

  • great film , great !!!

    best wishes from peru

  • i saw this film!!!! its fucking awesome! they had a rather different approach rather than the usual biopic! you guys should check it out!

  • Todd Haynes is cool man. Don't care what anyone else trashes him about, he's just got a cool filmmaking thing going on.

  • I thought the movie was great. But then, Dylan was always such a man of mystery in the early days and that made it so interesting to learn anything about him. I thought Cate was great too.I saw him in 66 and waited about 30 min. for him to just show up. Then after the concert, he just walked off stage without a word.

  • bob dylan didnt want to be jewish? so that "really" explains why DYLAN is Dylan rather than zimmerman(jewish name)

  • no, he wanted to explor"being" rather tha labeled. people are born with a sense of what their supposed to be, your this or that

so, if ne has the guts to be searching rather blindly following then one may step aside from their "tradition" and work out a salvation.

DYLAN ultimately explored religios ideas and is certainly Jewish regardless of what show biz things he may have tricked u into thinking, dont be anti-semetic

  • To quote Dylan in one of his interviews: how can you say that? She did a fantastic job in her performance.

  • It's odd for Haynes to say that Dylan is always trying to be someone other than himself. Dylan or anyone else might act like some character like Billy the Kid or whatever, but if he feels like a modern version of Billy the Kid at heart, that's who he really is. So it's not like Dylan is never there, he just evolves.

  • Uh. Todd Solondz did this already in Palindromes, and just as well, as Mr. Solondz is a much better and more inventive filmmaker.

  • fuck kurdish

  • my last name is haynes

  • i am interested about kaitlen...lols

  • good

  • Hmm, waste of oxygen essentially. His speech doesnt infer on me that palpable reductive feeling, and also it doesnt give me enough kernels to hold on to.

  • Dylan - contradictions, weaknesses and all - is one of my few heroes. I hope they don't fuck this up.

  • I've been waiting for this movie forever.

  • He says so much, yet informs so little. Just a bunch of words flowing out of the mouth, but not really saying anything.

  • maybe to a dullard it appears that way. yes, that must be it. (were you able to comprehend all that, sweetheart?)

  • Don't be a smart-ass. I am a very well educated person. I own and operate a dental practice and am very well read. I know a bull shitter when I see one. This guy is full of it.

  • oooh own and operate a dental practice. the sin que non of intelligence. stick with cleaning teeth and scraping gunk off them and leave the film criticism to others. (you sound a bit full of yourself, btw)

  • Haynes is a pretentious ass who sounds full of himself. That scene with Cate where David Cross pulls up? LAUGH OUT LOUD

  • I found it to be very informative.

  • I like Hayne's concept of the 6 actors but it was an oversight not to cast Verne Troyer..

  • bu ne lan böle

  • If Haynes new film on Dylan is as an interesting and gorgeous as his film Velvet Goldmine (A retelling of Citizen Kane using a "Bowie like" Glam Rock star), I can't wait to see it. He has a gift.

  • big woop. Todd Solondz did it in Palindromes.

Dylan isn't even dead yet, stop making him into a saint.

  • And Luis Buñuel took a far greater risk in "That Obscure object of Desire" back in 1977. It is most definitely not an original concept to have more than one actor play the same role. I'll give Haynes film a chance and watch with an open mind, but this is not nearly as bold a directorial vision as is portrayed here. Don't just rent from the new releases section at Blockbuster or the recently arrived cue at NetFlix!

  • It's like shut the fuck up.

  • Ha! nice....

Gotta love the guy infatuated with his own thoughts.

  • qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm

i have no clue wtf he is saying

  • I can't wait to see this movie.
