  • Woah the cabbage has so much juice.

  • where do you get gyoza from?

  • Xia blah blah blah, Aw ~ :')

  • drooling

  • Thanks for ordering Xiablablabla, this made me laugh very hard, lol.

  • So Cooking Mama was right!!!

  • Sweet Gyoza... *Droooolll*

  • I would try this but I'm not old enough to drink sake does anyone know a substitute for sake or maybe a non alcoholic sake and where to get it if it's out there

  • @crosiac100 you're not really "drinking" sake... and there's such a small amount that it's quite negligible. Also, the gyoza is cooked and the meat is thoroughly cooked, so the sake's alcohol level shouldn't be a problem (alcohol cooks off/evaporates)

  • I know how to knead from cooking mama heheheh ^^

  • good videos.

    clear, simple instructions.

  • xiia blah blah blah hahahahahahahahaha

  • now how I wish i could cook that.

  • so question here, if you're jewish or just don't like pork can you substitute chicken/beef/turkey/etc.?

  • @fantabulousK of course you can. I use chicken when making mine.

  • @fantabulousK

be careful, as if you dont use pork you might find the ingredient combination goes critical and detonates as high order explosive.

    or, it could be delicious.

such is the risk we take with gyoza.

    good luck.

  • knead until sticky? ok, done rofl, was sticky from the start XD

  • Love it<3 I vill do this...and i love the Danse :) I put it on Facebook.

  • "ok, let's fly them!" lol thats so cute he was trying to say fry i guess... i will try them. minus the pork!

  • I just made this today and it was AMAZING!!! They tasted like I got them from a restaurant. I didn't even get a chance to make the sauce because the dumplings were so good without it. I added kale to the cabbage just to get more greens in there and I used ground turkey instead of pork. A little goes a long way with this because you can only put a little bit in each dumpling otherwise it won't close all the way. Thanks for the recipe!!! Fantastic!!

  • you looks some brown :p

  • Great video. Will give this a try.

  • I can shuffle like XiiaOSnOOpY and cook like runny :D

  • Oh! I never thought about putting fruit into gyoza/dumpling wrappers, it sounds really good!

  • @fantabulousK 0:58 im assuming he cut it when he was chopping green onions.

  • *look down at my burger* :(

  • @ervinc6 ...

  • Hi,

  • YUMMMMMMM!

  • hi runnyrunny999 i thought gyoza was japanese, plus can u show how to make the gyoza skins

  • 7 so lol

  • I almost started liking my computer screen...

  • How do you make gyoza skin?

  • @PeekingInTheKeyhole No need to make them. You can buy them at any Asian market.

  • @BananaWonYoo But i want to make them.

  • 1:07 You need to use kungfu to dehydrate it...

  • They were cabbages?! I thought they were onions... What have I been eating all these years..

  • @ClubbySuperCharged You lived your entire life thinking cabbages were onions?

  • @Graynumber You probably don't even understand my comment at all. In my area, there's only onions added in, not cabbages. Thanks, Captain Obvious, I know how they look like.

  • I tried making steamed dumpling for my girlfriend and they didn't turn out so great. I'm going to try your method. I just subed to your channel.

  • what is the difference in corn starch and potatoe starch

  • where can I buy gyoza skin? :(

  • @ttmuathu Japan! or China.

  • if you're chinese you would know you dont eat fried dumplings that looks like this, at least not where i was from.

  • @MrBigEnchilada

i don't know which part of China you are from, but in southern part of China, for example Guangdong . we do have this kind of fried dumplings for long long time, and yeah , we love it alot.

  • @hallmarkchris Right there's fried dumplings, but but for us there's also grilled potstickers...potstickers are not fried dumplings.

  • @MrBigEnchilada my parents usually boil dumplings xD... did i say usually? i meant always lulz

and they just snap the skin once and bang its sealed xD

  • @Commandos12 i boil dumplings too...

  • This isn't the sui-jiao versions of chinese dumplings are they? I was wondering what's with the cabbage. Maybe I'm more oriented with the shanghai style dumplings.

  • u hurt ur index finger!!!! T_T r u ok???

  • What is The Circle Thing you Wrapped the Filling up in? Is it Flour-Dough? If not How Do You Make it?

  • omg the way he his so Funny xDDD

  • ahaha i love the way he eat his own food lol ahahaha

  • Hey I love your vids, they're awesome. Please keep up the great work. I have a question concerning the gyoza. Is it possible to pre-make the dumplings and fry them later? I would like to make some for my friends and it would spare me a great deal of work and stress if I could just put the ready to fry dumplings in the fridge and cover them with a damp kitchen towel or something.

    Thanks ^^

  • My boyfriend almost killed me when he heard me talking to myself while watching the video - " How i wish runnyrunny999 could be my boyfriend cause my current boyfriend don't even know how to wash the rice"

  • I worry about that fruits lose a juiciness in order to deep-fry.

    -

    フルーツのジューシーさが あげることで損なわれないのか気になりました。

  • LOL my mom was sauteing some onions i thought what i was smelling was the gyoza that runny was cooking im stupid LOL

  • U should make fried rice! Lol

  • How come they're called potstickers in America? ._.

  • @LadyLatias According to wikipedia: Shallow fried dumplings (guotie) lit. "pan stick", known as "potstickers" in N. America, (鍋貼; pinyin: guōtiē), also referred to as "dry-fried dumplings" (煎餃; pinyin: jiānjiǎo).

I called them Dumplings as a small child in NYC, and was most disappointed with "American" dumplings (boiled dough) when I got older. These days I don't know what to call them, but Pot Stickers is more widely understood where I now live.

  • @LadyLatias Because we refuse to acknowledge the fact that the countries responsible for inventing these things are actually capable of naming them as well.

  • ur funny and cute

  • I will eat the entire plate in 5 mins

  • 1:45 LOVE the meat sound

  • Is gyoza sheet basicly just won ton skin, because thats what i use for gyoza. I dont live in Japan so my cooking ingredients are limited, if its not the same as won ton, is there a recipie for gyoza sheet? Great video! :) xxx

  • @CookingWithLiccy That's rather strange, because you can usually get premade gyoza skins if you can get premade wonton skins - they should sit quite close to each other in the fridge section (with the gyoza/jiaozi/chinese dumplings always circular in shape) :-o

  • @Zellophine

well i asked the asian guy in the asian place in my area if he sells gyoza skins and he didnt know what i was talking about... so i said its like a thin pastry..and he gave me won ton.. and i tried it and its really nice but won ton is square shaped.. not circular.. thanks for replying btw :) xx

  • @CookingWithLiccy You're welcome. Try a different name next time and maybe you'll be able to get it. Wonton and jiaozi skins have very different textures, and I think the latter tastes better when fried :-)

  • @Zellophine

I actually found a recipie for home made gyoza skins :) ill try that, thanks for all you're help!! xxx ^O^ xxx

  • i cringed seeing your finger wrapped with the bloodied plaster ....did you cut yourself?:(

    ^__________^

  • >:O I thought you were going to tell me how to make the sheets :(

  • Damn he cut his finger. while wrapping the dumpling i see the band aid. ahahah that's good!

  • deep frying sweet fruits in gyoza pastry... never thought of that! excellent, thanks :)

  • you say it 7 times

  • "Ok, let's fry them!" *Epic Battle Music Starts* hahahaha Loved it!

  • omg it looks tasty^^

  • These look pretty good but nothing will beat my mama's Chinese dumplings. :)

  • This is a good easy to make recipe the sauce at the end is good too, i personally added some pepper flakes for extra kick :).

  • tem que usar luva . po ai nao da né !

  • Is there a substitute for oyster sauce?

  • @AvianHybrid asian food store/market

  • 9 people didnt remove the tag

  • gj

  • MINI EMPANADAS!!

  • niice

  • for the cabbage its better to put it in a paper towel and squeeze, it gets more of the water out. a dish towel works too. just a helpful hint.

  • @21yaoigirl Yea, I agree. It so much easier. I use a cheese cloth and just "wring" the liquid out. =)

  • I tried this today, it totally failed, > u <;

The gyoza got stuck in the pan, I think I used a wrong type of sheet for it.

Will do it again in the near future, thanks for this video.

  • omg u can cook sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much~! *o*

  • what is Ra-yu? does it have another name?

  • Change your band-aid next time!

  • @cenon1 better not. who knows what's under that band-aid ... a festering sore, ulcers or warts, even. bon apetite!

  • My mom makes almost the same thing, only it's a more greek/syrian version i guess

  • I want to try making these at some point. The ones that I buy frozen in the store are really good, I can't imagine how awesome they'd taste homemade. =D

  • i already tried them out xD unfortunately i used too little of the meat but it tastes goooooooooood.

  • omg! thank you so much! i've never done this soo it's special for me to try these out :D good explaining
