what a treasure, however Miss Holiday's voice is Charlie Parker's sax left out in the rain for too long of a time. I am thankful for these late recordings but man do I ever wish I could just give Billie a big hug, hot bath, a meal, a soft bed. Oh, Miss Billie, she died of accute cirrhosis of the liver caused by alcoholism. 44 years old

This Lady makes me more cry than any other. Billie Holiday is for me the more emotional singer i ever known. She was and is so unique. I'm soo sorry that I can't see her really Live in Person. I like the late Verve Sessions (54-late57) very much. I have all these stuff on my Player and I just can't get enough. Anita O'Day is the other one I often hear and adore.
