Maybe the acoustics in Oregon allowed for more crowd noise to seep through television sets but believe me this place was rocking... if you haven't paid attention the Big Ten Network named Kinnick Stadium the most hostile place in the Big Ten. it has the shortest distance in the country from the front row (which is just 2 feet off the ground) to the out of bounds line for a D1 team. roughly 10 feet! you can literally reach over and touch players on the bench. best college gameday EVER - I watch gameday every Saturday and I don't think I've ever seen a crowd that huge and energetic. Plus everyone started at like 5 AM and kept it up until gametime at 7 PM, that's how we do in the IC. I work for the bookstore at the IMU (pre-flood obviously) and we had a tent with merchandise out in the park right by the stage that day, it was SOOO loud. And Kirk said hi to me later in the day. It was awesome!

if you haven't paid attention the Big Ten Network named Kinnick Stadium the most hostile place in the Big Ten. it has the shortest distance in the country from the front row (which is just 2 feet off the ground) to the out of bounds line for a D1 team. roughly 10 feet! you can literally reach over and touch players on the bench. btw... Iowa fans in the late 80's when the rule was still active... AT MINNESOTA... received an excessive noise penalty... i believe this happened at two Iowa games at Minnesota... we also rushed their field and stole their field goals in 2002... set the Orange Bowl attendance record with ~55,000 in 2003... so while yes i appreciate Oregon fans don't come to our video all cocky and stuff trying to diminish the outstanding reputation of our fan base... i give Oregon a TON of respect...

best college gameday EVER - I watch gameday every Saturday and I don't think I've ever seen a crowd that huge and energetic. Plus everyone started at like 5 AM and kept it up until gametime at 7 PM, that's how we do in the IC. I work for the bookstore at the IMU (pre-flood obviously) and we had a tent with merchandise out in the park right by the stage that day, it was SOOO loud. And Kirk said hi to me later in the day. It was awesome!

are u serious? hes prbly the best coach weve had since fry. do u know how we got to this? we hired kirk ferentz. we went like 1-10 for 2 seasons then 3-9, then kirk got us to 6 straight bowl games (7/8 since 2001) and has been bowl eligible every year since 2001. like iahawkfan said, its ken okeefe. we have shit playcalling on offense. if u honestly think that u know nothing about iowa football and u havent watched a single game.

I was at that. What a great night and game, although we lost. After this loss Iowa was not the same. And it lasted for a painful season and a half. Thank God for a great looking 2008 season so far (3-0)

u have a city more than ten times the size of iowa city. we have 30,000 students and a capacity of over 70,000 (more than iowa citys population and still packed every game). and ohio state fans (although not as bad as michigan fans) are whiny little assholes. they cry about every little thing and always are bragging about how good they are. and ive been to the shoe, its nowhere near as loud as kinnick.
