The german stick grenade is a concussive grenade. It is usually used against non-living things like sandbags or bunkers. However pineaplle grenades are meant to take out a room full of people. What makes the pineapple grenade so deadly is the shrapnel it leaves behind.
Pretty cool to see the difference between American Grenades and the German Grenades In WW2. Shows how 2 different powers developed their technologies and achieved the same goal.
@marxyouth i dont think you're goin to find german grenades where you live. but a friend of mine actually found some of these, a crate of 30 or so, while hitchhiking in france. sadly, they were kaputt
@WilmersdorferGabel If you think that's cool, in the Vietnam war the Vietcong would remove the pin from a grenade and put it in a can. The can would keep the spoon from falling off and the grenade exploding. They'd then tie a cord it it and put it across a trail, a GI walks by, trips the cable and boom.
you could throw it 2 times wider than the lemon nade.

@halopro9995 No, this grenade relies on it's blast to kill, as opposed to shrapnel.

@TheMagoo1125 That was my point....... It has a concussive effect rather than fragmentation

it's easy to throw but it doesn't roll so good like the pineapple

whats different from pinnapple grenades is the potato mashers use blast to kill instead of shrapnel

The Stielhandgranates were nicknamed "potato mashers" cos it ovbiously looks like a potato masher, if u look carefully at it.
