  • Daigo sings: Hello Ryu my old friend...

  • Daigo can win at will, so he always lets his opponents get as close to winning as possible, then doesn't finish them off when he is able to give them another chance, and STILL wins anyways. Daigo is a god.

  • @jkksung I think its in his contract with Madcatz to make the game exciting so people will watch and buy the endorsements...

  • the crowd is on their feet... bunch of midgets

  • these two guys are my favorites!^^...and poongko! xP ...and tokido!^^.... and mago...and^^´´´they are all amazing! ^^

justin wong, mike roos wolfkrone.....there ara many realy good fighters!°°````

  • @sfairmaxii

they all good...but poongko has a bad attitude...pro seth player but very cocky

  • @hongeeee not really. poongko even openly admitted that daigo was a better player than he was, lol. he just got carried away in evo and over-reacted after a win against daigo.

  • @6:10 Seth: "OHH, SAI-KICK UPPAHCUT!!"

  • these are my idols :')

  • WHY did daigo stop playing with RYU?

  • @BoyBangla He thought he got nerfed in AE and he wanted to use the character he was best with. However he is switching to someone new in 2012. It was supposed to be back to Ryu but he said his changes were "meaningless"

  • @daimianIZdope hes gunna main akuma in 2012

  • @BoyBangla daigo stoped playing ryu because of as capcom asked him before AE who he probably wants as new characters in AE, daigo said he would like the twins. and as they gave him the twins he said because im a pro player and working for them and they make me these two chars i wanted fight with one of them. but it looks like he will be fighting in the future with akuma!^^ we will see :) ps; sry for my bad english^^´´´´

  • 5:55, he actually could only followup with ex shoulder, he was just building meter cause he couldn't followup and kill valle.

  • @Cryptoz4 yeah well the commentators don't know that. they dont play yun D:

  • Valle Shoryu

  • I was rooting for alex valle. Those were some close games.

  • BROKEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • I HATE THE VIDEO TIME RUINS THE MATCH BECAUSE IF IT'S DOWN TO MATCH POINT YOU KNOW WHO WINS W;KEJGFPOIJOWPIDFBPSKERB;KWRBF'P

  • Yun has to push forward to get anywhere in a match, the key is to beating Yun is to learn how to play with Yun. Learn his strength, speed, combos, then practice with a fighter quick enough to catch up.

Think about it, Daigo is great with Yun, but, if he went against a Yun do u think he'd win?

  • @kickloslobos4 Yes, he will win against a Yun actually :P

  • Daigo is a great player, but he is human and he can lose at any time. The competition gets better every year.

  • Yun sucks

  • @lvdjn Good one.

  • Yun is just OP.

  • This is the first game I've seen involving Yun that I actually enjoyed watching. True story. Fitting that Valle was involved...

  • @TheAcad3mic you're right, watching valle lose is extremely entertaining.

  • @Cr1mSiR lol, fair enough. I have a lit of time for Valle, I just like seeing an actual fight be brought to a Yun, let alone THIS Yun.

  • poongko is watching

  • Seth is such a good commentator..

  • Comment removed

  • Daigo will be back in 2012. After the two losses this year he will train more for next year.

  • Isnt seth killian the maker of street fighter?

  • @TheKah521 no. he works for capcom

  • @TheKah521

He's like the community forums PR from Capcom. His roots in SF tourneys go waaay back also .. maybe as far as valle and daigo in sf II tourneys ..

  • That was a pretty damn good match, but I gotta point out that Daigo is a helluva lot better than what his showing at this year's Evo shows. In everyone of the matches I've seen him play, he's dropped more than one combo. That's totally not like Daigo.

  • @reemash

Daigo was sick, usually he never drops combos and makes great reads, i think poongko really messed with mind up too after the first round.

  • CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNGEEEEE

  • Valle may not be the best Ryu but he does know Daigo more than anyone in the US.

  • I dont think daigo's very liked because everybody cheers when he dies !

  • @TheKah521: It isn't that, it's just people get tired of the same guy kicking everyone's ass at Evo. Evo2k10's grand finals, like this years', was a blow-out. Daigo, using Ryu, pwned the Rufus user Ricky. It was almost expected. So when he lost this year, people got happy.

  • @TheKah521 no they were cheering Valle when he wins

  • Daigo should use Ryu...

  • who the fuck disliked this

  • @Qjemuse

    people who call us nerds.

  • Alex Valle vs Daigo is basically Ken vs Ryu. Friends with a long rivalrly but respect each other to the fullest.

  • derp im a yun player. palm palm palm, dive kick dive kick dive kick, crazy little dashes through your fireballs, and you cant punish any of it.

seriously. go back to ryu daigo. yun is hardly an entertaining character to watch.

in the meantime, you can bet ill be watching tokido!

  • @atrzar

He's not playing for your entertainment, get that shit out of here.

  • nice of Daigo to let alex have that match.

  • The Best Match Ever :)

  • 6:09 .. who the fuck DPs a shoulder? what a beast.. valle deserved to win this.. too bad his character stood no chance against the almighty S+ tier Yun.. :(

  • I think both you guys have a point. He is right on the one hand, Yun/Yang players have to get into the fight and get up close and personal. But on the other hand Ryu is downloaded now, he lost best character status awhile ago. Everyone knows how to deal with Ryu now and he is easily punishable

  • i miss daigo's ryu :(

  • Sick battle till the very end. I still hate it though that anyone fighting a yun has to work so much harder for a win. This shit better change and soon.

  • @VaeVictus666 seriously ? Ryu players can just sit back and spam hadokens, yun doesn't even have the luxury of projectiles to get easy chip damage wins. If anything the yun players have to work harder vs projectile based characters, namely ryu.

  • @Saturi It sounds like your a noob at this game, if you think people can spam fireballs, and Yun has to work harder. And Ryu hasn't been top tier in any of the SF4 titles. just high mid tier. Yun and Yang are currently at the top

  • @miyodarius you did watch the video right, you sound like a noob when it comes to debating over the internet. 6:01 proves you wrong. As i said Yun players don't have the luxury of spamming fires ball for easy wins. They have to get into the fray risking uppercuts, or counter movement attacks as a repercussion. What does a tier list have to do with specific character match up in this debate ? No one asked for your random tier list info.

  • @Saturi If you fall for fireball spam; you really deserve to lose. I'd like to think there's a sharp curve to learning to deal with them (especially Sagat, I had no idea what to do against him as Adon), but once you do you see it's just a gimmick.

  • @LordMooseifer Dude just shut up and stop embarrassing yourself with random comebacks, first you said " It sounds like your a noob at this game, if you think people can spam fireballs " which is pretty much saying its impossible to spam fireballs, and then you go and contradict that statement by saying "If you fall for fireball spam; you really deserve to lose. " Just stop responding already. You clearly don't have a foot to stand on when it comes to debating.

  • @Saturi Calm the fuck down, Youtube commenters think everything is srs business, christ.

  • @LordMooseifer I am perfectly calm, didn't your computer teacher ever tell you, that capital letters, and exclamation points or signs of a angry person. I didn't do either. Obviously i am not upset. Therefore is no reason for me to calm down. It has nothing to do with serious business, it about you not knowing what the fuck your talking about before you say shit.

  • @Saturi Thats not spamming, that zoning. You do realize all characters (even Yun) has moves that go throught fireballs? I think the best way to prove my point, if we had a match in SSF4 AE. But if you can't fight. This match is 5/5 in no ones favor. Lets break down these fighters. Ryu has fireballs, Uppercuts, and high damage combos. Yun has, an Uppercut, target combos, command grab, dive kicks, and high damage output... who is better?

  • @miyodarius Thats a way better response, you should have stated something like that to begin with. spam is repeated use of a move, anything can be spammed. He was trying to get a easy win through the hadokens, but diago didn't let it happen. Yes he was zoning too, but that don't change the fact that he was spamming, I don't know all of yun's move but usually its only ex moves that go through fireballs, I have not even played AE yet. But i played SS4 more than enough to know how the game works.

  • Yun's Ex fist is a broken frame trap and his recovery is sooo fast. I feel nerf coming. Even playing online the screen pushes you so far back after Yun's Ex fist that u can't see ur character but the Yun player can.

  • the real highlight of evo2k11

    ...finals sucked ass

  • Alex and Daigo are like Ryu and Ken. Old rivals (back during sfa3) but always full of respect for each other. I feel this is the grand finals of evo.

  • I'd like to see Diago's Yun against Xian's Yun

  • Thanks for posting. So sick.

  • Anyone else think that Daigo let Alex take off some of his health in game 1 round 2 because he knew he'd win anyway?

  • @OpForza at this level of gameplay u dont let anyone take away yours hp couse it can cost u very much

  • when i watched this on the livestream i was litterally shouting out in exitement

    FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKINNNNNNNNNG HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • One day, there will be a Daigo biopic.

  • 6:09 ohhhhhh!!!! PSYCHIC UPPERCUUUTTTT!!!!!!!!!! lol Seth is the greatest :)

  • rely well played from Alex his good

  • The commentators and the audience are just a little too bias, I understand Alex Valle has the hometown advantage, but the commentators are supposed to be objective.

  • @poseidon206 No they do not have to. Get use to it.

  • @poseidon206 Same thing happens at SBO in Japan. People are always going to support who they can relate to.

  • No Ibukis :(

  • @Chri2king

Really? Ryu wasn't that awesome until daigo used him. That's when he got awesome. You don't keep doing amazing at tourneys because of the character, but because of the player

  • @supremespork Yeah yun players would dissagree!

  • @supremespork nah, ryu has always been one of street fighters top tier characters. Sure Daigo made him a popular standout amongst tourny players. But you talk as if Daigo is one of the capcom game developers and went and re-modified ryu's game mechanics.

  • @supremespork What are you talking about, did you even play original sf4? Ryu WAS awesome lol

  • not even a GG handshake?? heheheh

  • @Cliff0MX ggnore

  • Evo was amazing, shout outs to all the people who competed, and even bigger shout outs to Noah, that kid is gonna be dangerous.

  • To bad that Daigo lost today..but hes still one of the best ever!! Respect!

  • im a noob, which one was Alex irl? long hair or bigger/short hair dude?

  • @pollacksify Daigo (Asian) Alex (Short Hair)

  • @Chri2Kng do you have anything better to do aside from trolling EVO vids?

Im amazed how much life you dont have.

  • @katoklang00

I spent less than 1 minute writing that comment, I guess having a life mean 24/7 non stop?

  • 12k plus views in 2 days. . . Epic

  • How is using Yun even good? He's the OPest char in the game...

  • this is like Ryu(japan daigo) vs Ken(USA alex) and the one that always fails is saggot (justin wong)

  • wish i could play as good as that

  • Classic Alex vs Daigo. Full of intensity and down to the wire.

  • 6:08 Epic scream!!!

  • @Ryukensan75 Racists? How so?

  • so fuckin hype

  • i was going crazy during that hah

  • Yay EVO is here! \^_^/

  • wow. that was really amazing! both health bars really low, dodging, punching, fireballs?! i got all excited because of the people watching!!

these guys are really, really good. lot of respect for them.

  • kinda reminds me of the cool blokes waiting for fish and chips years ago, with better graphics of course lol

  • this goes to show, if the other player is good enough, he can beat Daigo.. so complaing about Yun being OP is retarded

  • @stupidkaydoo well considering that yun takes about a 1/3 of life in a target combo alone still stands as being over powered despite all the yun fans saying he isn't, As great as this fight was i think it would of been better if diago used a nuetral character with normal damage output rahter than the god character known as yun.

  • Xcal sent me

  • @nail1080 who is xcal?

  • @nail1080 who the heck is xcal?

  • is ae over or can i see it today?? i mean the top 8??

  • @RealRussianStandard finals are on tonght,ae in about an hour or two,go to ustream

  • @neontetra1000 thx man :)

  • @RealRussianStandard its on right now

  • @elohelmao yes i saw it :) i saw all finals mk9 marvel 3rd strike and so on...very entertaining

  • @RealRussianStandard Good, glad to see another person didn't miss it!

  • @Ryukensan75

The stream reached over 35k viewers when this match came up. Usually we only see about 5k-10k on other events (ie CEO, ReveLAtions).

We get a brand new crowd in Evo that I wouldn't consider part of the community; just random idiot kids who only know who Daigo is. The 5k-10k who watch every event would be part of the tight community in my opinion

  • @Dmetal23 Either way more views is a good thing.

  • yun is bad ass but ryu is boss I DONT KNOW WHO TO ROOT FOR!!!

  • @Ryukensan75 I like you cause you seem English, you said "bloody" as an adjective and I don't hear that every day:)

  • That was an amazing match

  • @Ryukensan75 racism? i watch the stream fullscreen. were the americans bitter against the asian?

  • TIGER UPPERCUT 6:11

  • can anyone please explain to me if Yun is a real Street Fighter 4 character? is he an actual playable character? Can you unlock him??? I want to know! Yun is my favorite character in the street fighter 3 series!!!

  • @machogrubba14 you have to get the arcade edition either the disc or dlc for super stf4

  • @machogrubba14 He's on the update of SSF4 called "Street Fighter 4 Arcade Addition" along with Yang, Evil Ryu and Oni Akuma. Download it on your PS3 for $14.00 or buy the game itself for like 35-40 dollars once you get it he's unlocked

  • @machogrubba14 you need to buy super street fighter arcade edition to play with him, you can either download it if you already Have SS4 or buy it in a disc

  • Daigo must get tons of pussy

  • @naltschul he's got a lot of cats.

  • @Ryukensan75 the streams are ALWAYS full of racists and morons. Welcome to the MLG community

  • @Ryukensan75 Every live stream is like that. There's no exceptions.

  • PSYCHIC UPPERCUT!!!!

  • @Ryukensan75 Sadly those trolls ARE the community :(

  • 6:19 he could of EX shoryu and win the match but thats what happends when youre under pressure

  • @TODhaseo he couldn't he was back dashing.

  • @shooeeeeee thats why i said he was under pressure

  • @TODhaseo OH um ok?.....

  • Excellent match

Alex turned the corner in Game 2 but Daigo made him pay for it.

    Awesome

  • egos aside these 2 are the defenition of pros

  • @Ryukensan75 im being stupidly curious here, what did they say?

  • great fight :D

  • Man, I really wanted to see Justin vs Daigo in Grand Finals. Yang vs Yun....Yeah Alex is a very, very strong player but, Justin needs to run it back with Daigo.

  • @icyrazor Justin was already eliminated from the tournament.

And I think to date Alex is the only American player to ever have surpassed most top Japanese players in a fighting game, in Alpha 3 it was already admitted when he almost defeated Umehara that he would have been unbeatable to other top Japanese players as Daigo at the time was the strongest he ever was and was playing the most he ever did in his life to date daily in Alpha 3 compared to other games he's played.

  • @tj203 At the time of Alpha 3 when he faced Alex, in an interview Daigo said he played 364 days in a row and played around 8 hours a day or more.

  • @tj203 Yeah, I know he was eliminated. That's MY fantasy bracket. Grand Finals, Justin vs Daigo. Yang vs Yun

  • Less biased commentators please -.- I was hoping daigo would win

  • Match of the tournament so far!!

  • the Valleshoryu

  • Damn that was an epic match. Daigo stylin on ppl in mvc3 and ssf4ae lol

  • that was an excellent match.

  • Great job from Alex Valle (despite the loss); he went against Daigo and stood his ground.

  • Back luck Alex Valle - woulda been a good comeback from his good old days!

    What a game though!

  • Can you people PLEASE stop spoiling the outcomes in every top comment.

  • @jman9001 Comments are supposed to give thoughts and opinions on the video, reviews really. So if you don't want to find out who wins the match just don't read the comments.

  • you commentators are FAGS

  • @D1LatedPupils Who the fuck are you?

  • first time I want to see Alex win! i hate yun... so imbalanced character

  • yun is so overpowered priority anti air... no punish on shoulder... hard to punish even the lunging fist... and normal palm strike even destroys ex fireballs... plus dive kicks are so hard to punish.... capcom needs to fix things out

  • @KellysterOverdrive dont blame capcom, blame daigo.

  • @itzAcutie imagine the worlds best street fighter player playing the a top tier character that needs to be nerfed down...

  • @KellysterOverdrive That says a lot about Valle.

  • Oh wow! I wouldn't mind if Alex had won the tournament. Old school class.

  • Breathtaking. I'm a casual gamer, but I think watching competitive gaming is the shit. This is one of the best videos on youtube I've ever seen, and I barely play Street Fighter.

  • Incredible, perfect example of my dream fight!

Side note- its kinda sad when daigo has to wear headphones to block out the rudeness of americans at evo.

  • Alex always uses the weaker character. In Zero 3 he used Ryu when Daigoat used Akuma and when he used Ryu again Daigoat used Yun.

  • Both fighters are clumsy.

  • @SeventhSun i dont see ur name in the tourney so go back to ur corner and suck an egg

  • Two legends goin' at it... that's what EVO is all about.

  • @ 3:03 daigo really cut alex some slack there

  • Just Hype!

  • It's like, Rocky 6 in video game form. Valle didn't win the fight, but he proved to the world he still has what it takes to compete. Long live Calipower.

  • Daigo take Yun to a whole other level

  • who won the final?

  • @oFREEKYo the final is tomorrow
