@jlvi13 I kind of knew you'd go for that approach in your reply, which i think is a bit sub par because i was just in a rush trying to help you out and had to go somewhere and was not doing such a thing which would be posting a guidence video. "Equipments" doesn't really exist in the english language, due to how equipment doesnt get pluralised in a way where the s is added to the end. There may be one piece of equipment , or many pieces of equipment, but no "equipments". That doesn't exist.
@J3yblivion Don't meant to insult you man, it was a joke, I know you meant to typ an 'I'. Alright, that's clear to me now, thanks. Probably got confused with the French equipements, which can be used as a plural by just adding an 's'. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll change it!
@umdterp999 With just a barbell you won't get far, neither with just dumbells. It depends on what level you want to work out. If you just want to be fit then those dumbells will be enough, although an adjustable bench is very helpful for a lot of exercises. And besides that, I never said anything of this was necessary, I just said what was helpful.
im currently doing a schedule cardio everyother day and weights everyotherday with sundays off. Is it bad to be working on the whole body every other day. i usually do like 2 excersises per muscle group.
@EWOKakaDOOM That's definitely not recommendable. Split up your routine and do an upper body/ lower body routine and alternate between those 2. You can then do 2-3 exercises per muscle group, but this time you will have 1 day of rest for your upper body while working out lower and the other way around.
@monnster88 Power rack is way more diverse and it's not comparable with a pull up bar. A powerrack is for those who are really seriously into working out and lift very heavy. If you don't lift much more then your bodyweight then a power rack isn't always necessary. You won't need one, so don't worry about buying one. A pull up bar is good enough for you and I assume you don't lift huge weights either.
i'm seriously considering setting up a home gym. it will definately be worth it financially over time as it will save all the money i spend on gym membership. but I don't have enough room in my apartment for all the stuff I need.
a bench and weights are not enough for a full body workout. the squat station is a must but it would take up too much space
oke

hey don't want to sound like grammar police but you might want to change your title to " what type of equipment do i need"
J3yblivion 8 months ago
@J3yblivion Good, because you wouldn't be a very good one :P It's I not i, but apart from that, what's wrong with the title?

almost all of this is unnecessary
why do you need a bench if you have a floor or coffee table
why do you need a barbell if you already have the dumbells
why do you need dumbells if your going to buy a power rack?

@Surreal93 You probably mean one armed, one handed pull ups are easy. If I could do an one armed pull ups I would make a tutorial about it though.
