No, little sisters have a slug inside them that recycles ADAM. ADAM is needed obviously, so the scientists designed Big Daddy's to simply protect the little sisters as they gather ADAM. Big Daddy's have a powerplant inside the Big Daddy Testing grounds.
yeah the weird thing about bioshock is it isn't really scary as much as it is depressing, if you find most of the audio tapes you'll know what i mean. Especially the room in Neptune's Bounty i think where you find the Mastha Come home audio tape

I would like more offensive plasmids but its a great game, creepy too. Although, I don't think incinerate was done well, I would have rather seen like a projectile come out of my hand. When you snap your fingers like that it loooks like a dumb magic trick. Insect swarm as well, more bee's would be great.
they should have made the he bees like the Electrobolt plasmid u no like when u upgrade it look more powerful right? well like in stage 1- bees stage 2- killer bees stage 3- wasps, u agree? but i likethe way Incinerate plasmid looks but its too fast it took me a while to figure out whether he was snapping or pointing. idk bro but ur right the bees dont look right.

when i got to that part in the game i just enraged one of them backed out and let the doors close and listend its so cool lol
and now that i think about it when that girl was talking about when u kill the big daddy and the little sister gets all sad ya kno i kinda felt bad but i saved her and i like how they made that look i never harvested the little sisters and ended up getting the good ending and the achievment never had the heart to kill them :P
Ha, I just harvested all of them my first time in the game. I got the complete evil ending instead of just the bad ending. Now I'm playing it on Normal (I played easy first), and saving them all, and now I see the benefits of saving...so...yeah. I just have a complete disregard for life, cause I just hate all of you like that =D
the thing about bioshock is what type of game is it it's an fps you could say it's a survival horror and you could call it a free roam game so which one is it i guess it does include all of these features.
when you play this game alot, you will realise its not meant to scare the guts outof ya, but it is actually very moral, it is not like a moralless setted game like doom 3, bioshock is actually even more sad/dramatic rather than scary in average (maybe)

bioshock is not meant to be scary in your classic mental or physical horror game. This game is a demonstration of what happens when man tries to perfect itself. you mess with nature, nature will mess back. the chilling part are the characters in the game. spouses killing eachother for that little bit of ADAM, mothers killing their children because they've just lost their mind. little girls becoming monsters because of a parasite. its truly a horrifying concept and a fantastic game.
Why is everyone so fussy about how it is not scary at all, just because you aren't having things jump out at you all the fucking time. Bioshock is probably one of the most twisted, disturbing games I have played (I am not slamming it either, these factors are good) not because you have demon shitlets running around the corner but it really displays the mentality of the environment. I can't explain it thoroughly, but anyone who has played this game can tell...

It varies from person to person dude. Im 22 and FEAR was a really chiller to the bone on my first lst playthrough. Bioshock was gross only, not too scary at all, maybe a little intimidating when the daddies turn red. Now THATS scary, surviving them or not :p Havent played Doom 3 but I guess its even creepier than FEAR.
I'm not done yet, but I've realized that they do much more than run at you, unless you're talking about the "Thuggish Splicers". They were extremely unpredictable, and on various situations, I've seen Big Daddies and Splicers Fighting. Maybe it's because I'm playing on Hard :/
as a Big daddy, so I'm not being immediately attacked, and they pretty much just wander, talk to themselves, and inspect random things. Not much fighting amongst themselves yet :(
Sometimes when you defeat a big daddy, they try to steal the Little Sister. Sometimes Splicers will just chat with eachother. One time I removed I splicer's mask, and they looked around for a bit and picked it up and put it back on.
One time I saw a Big Daddy fighting another Big Daddy. There are so many hidden twists in this game-- it's not funny.
In Germany this awesome game is gonna be released 24th Aug. ....this sucks hard ....USA...tommorrow =( this is the first time id like to be american =P

when i got to that part in the game i just enraged one of them backed out and let the doors close and listend its so cool lol
and now that i think about it when that girl was talking about when u kill the big daddy and the little sister gets all sad ya kno i kinda felt bad but i saved her and i like how they made that look i never harvested the little sisters and ended up getting the good ending and the achievment never had the heart to kill them :P

Ha, I just harvested all of them my first time in the game. I got the complete evil ending instead of just the bad ending. Now I'm playing it on Normal (I played easy first), and saving them all, and now I see the benefits of saving...so...yeah. I just have a complete disregard for life, cause I just hate all of you like that =D

the thing about bioshock is what type of game is it it's an fps you could say it's a survival horror and you could call it a free roam game so which one is it i guess it does include all of these features.

when you play this game alot, you will realise its not meant to scare the guts outof ya, but it is actually very moral, it is not like a moralless setted game like doom 3, bioshock is actually even more sad/dramatic rather than scary in average (maybe)
If you know the game, you should know what I mean. If you are one of the people who think horror is all about red demons with horns on top, poping out from dark corners every fricking time, you are S.A.D.

not like silent hill being scary because the protagonist is weak as a wimp, or like the first bio hazard cuz turning into zombie means game over.
this, my friend, is more like the whole world has turn into sh*t and everyone is a wreck job. would you like to be painted in white and nailed to a wall?

bioshock is not meant to be scary in your classic mental or physical horror game. This game is a demonstration of what happens when man tries to perfect itself. you mess with nature, nature will mess back. the chilling part are the characters in the game. spouses killing eachother for that little bit of ADAM, mothers killing their children because they've just lost their mind. little girls becoming monsters because of a parasite. its truly a horrifying concept and a fantastic game.

Why is everyone so fussy about how it is not scary at all, just because you aren't having things jump out at you all the fucking time. Bioshock is probably one of the most twisted, disturbing games I have played (I am not slamming it either, these factors are good) not because you have demon shitlets running around the corner but it really displays the mentality of the environment. I can't explain it thoroughly, but anyone who has played this game can tell...

yeah, when i looked at the trailers and stuff it looked scary as hell, you know, like demented people jumping up at you from every direction, it scared me even till an hour into the game, but then you get kinda used to it and you can't put it down......

It varies from person to person dude. Im 22 and FEAR was a really chiller to the bone on my first lst playthrough. Bioshock was gross only, not too scary at all, maybe a little intimidating when the daddies turn red. Now THATS scary, surviving them or not :p Havent played Doom 3 but I guess its even creepier than FEAR.

Ecology my ASS. I just beat the game. The AI is stupid and pretty much just runs at you.
Only once I've seen them fighting eachother, only once. Other than that they just run at you and hit you. Ugh.

Maybe it's the way you played.
I'm not done yet, but I've realized that they do much more than run at you, unless you're talking about the "Thuggish Splicers". They were extremely unpredictable, and on various situations, I've seen Big Daddies and Splicers Fighting. Maybe it's because I'm playing on Hard :/

as a Big daddy, so I'm not being immediately attacked, and they pretty much just wander, talk to themselves, and inspect random things. Not much fighting amongst themselves yet :(

Sometimes when you defeat a big daddy, they try to steal the Little Sister. Sometimes Splicers will just chat with eachother. One time I removed I splicer's mask, and they looked around for a bit and picked it up and put it back on.
One time I saw a Big Daddy fighting another Big Daddy. There are so many hidden twists in this game-- it's not funny.
