There were also reports of children being battered by parents and in some instances killed by crushing their heads with rocks (when their parents didn't want them). Just to clear something up - and I am being in no way aggressive or attacking you, just stating facts - Public schools are not free of fees. They still cost quite a lot of money. Education, whether private or government, always costs money.
The difference here is that some private schools have the resources available to merit higher fees.

@shrappy2003 My friends have come to visit and I have taken them to many Aboriginal events, hey had a wonderful experience down at Circular Quay and at the Aboriginal Museum. An aboriginal elder named Max Dulumunmun Harrison who frequently runs outback tours and teaches aboriginal culture to all people has also had great publicity. Hearing him speak was amazing and he has a book called "My People's Dreaming", now if you do not call that successful I don't know whats wrong with you.

As I said before, working with people who come to you because of problems means you meet the people who havnt got it together and your meeting the worst of them all, that dosn't mean they are all the same. I am in an industry where we meet a different kind of people, who look after themselves and have got it together. i am a holistic therapist and have a few Aboriginal clients.

I believe that people become who they are through environmental factors and influences of those that surround you. The fact is that early European settlers displaced the Aboriginals. Facts are there. History happened. In order to move forward we must acknowledge what happened and educate future generations on history. Racism breeds due to a lack of understanding, education and empathy. It is up to us Australians to ensure our children are taught about the atrocities subjected to the first Australians. While its not politically correct to point it out, many of the Aboriginal (and white) kids were actually saved. I worked in on ex-mission where many of them were part white n part black. They were treated like Leapers and in due course were able to become part of society,

@Inconvenientruths i think you've been misinformed, the 'stolen generation' was a whole generation of Aboriginal children taken from their families by the government to be 'educated' in special schools, to teach them the proper way to submit to white supremacy, and then sent to work as basic slaves in white peoples homes. It was an attempt of the then government to get rid of a minority group they believed had no place in society.

@shrappy2003 My friends have come to visit and I have taken them to many Aboriginal events, hey had a wonderful experience down at Circular Quay and at the Aboriginal Museum. An aboriginal elder named Max Dulumunmun Harrison who frequently runs outback tours and teaches aboriginal culture to all people has also had great publicity. Hearing him speak was amazing and he has a book called "My People's Dreaming", now if you do not call that successful I don't know whats wrong with you.

As I said before, working with people who come to you because of problems means you meet the people who havnt got it together and your meeting the worst of them all, that dosn't mean they are all the same. I am in an industry where we meet a different kind of people, who look after themselves and have got it together. i am a holistic therapist and have a few Aboriginal clients.

Aboriginals are starting to do the same and are getting it together slowly.
