When I watched The Room for the first time with my friends and this scene came up, I paused it to do the Critic's schtick. When I unpaused it, I had forgotten that she actually asks "Is he dead" twice, which made it seem like, after all that, she still didn't believe that he was dead. For some reason, I was legitimately angry enough to scream, as loud as I was physically capable, "YES!!!!"

Also having watched the entire movie start to finish with no breaks I say: That scene is still fucking stupid, and even if you can't see the hole the smell and amount of blood would give it away. You don't know how long he was dead for. Could have been weeks of months. Also if he had fell the smell and blood would still spell "HE'S FUCKING DEAD YOU CHEATING BITCH!"
