  • Does anyone else consider the idea that maybe this could have been a triple homicide set up to LOOK like a murder/suicide? I mean the toxocology reports showed no trace of steroids, and Benoit, his wife and son were all drugged with Xanax and hydrocodone? I smell a setup here....

  • R.I.P. Benoit Family

  • wow, Larry on last caller = fail.

  • from what I've gathered Beniot is still cool the family seems to be n afterthought.

  • @wachtower100 Fuck you and benoit

  • @mr300ism you a little Benoit fan or are you high???

  • damn it, i wanted to here the answer to that last question!

  • Im glad cena, Jericho and brett talked about how good he was in the ring, and it's a shame this crime will overshadow his wrestling career

  • he had enough time to talk about harry potter but not to see what any thought

yeah they made him do that.

  • anoying that they say they dont use steroids... lying.

  • They said wwe is scripted... finally.

  • @pwnedmasterx evryone knows that. it's not a big deal.

  • Anybody else believe that Larry King was paid to cut off that last caller?

  • @thendy88 Yeah. That's the one question I always wanted to know what wrestlers views were of, cause I think it's pathetic to pretend he never existed. They can try as hard as they want to, but his moments INSIDE the ring can never be thrown out.

  • Scott Ballard: "blah blah steroids blah"

  • SAD

  • That annoyed me when they cut off that last caller.

  • After Benoit's brain was examined, the examiner said it resembled the brain of an 85 year old alzheimer patient. Brain trauma combined with steroid use and the stress of losing his friend, the stress of his work brewed a tragedy within this man.

  • funny how they just cut when d guy say way dose wwe act like chris never existed

  • the question will never be answered how will he truly be remembered? for over 20 years he gave joy to millions sacrificing his body for our enjoyment. but in 1-2 days he commited the worst crime possible. i feel he was a great man but something went wrong and nooone knows the circumstances he had a damaged brain (proven) what if his wife said 'im leaving you and taking daniel' and he said 'if i cant have him noone can and somehow justified it all? you dont know and shouldnt judge unless you do

  • I am highly, highly disturbed by what happened to Chris Benoit and his family. Do I think he did it? Yes, and there can be no excuse for the attrocities that he has committed. But while I can't forget (or forgive) what he did in his final hours, I will always remember him for what he did in his entire life: entertain millions and bring a smile to the face of wrestling fans everywhere. When I think of Chris Benoit, it will always be as "The Crippler", not a murderer.

  • That cut-off really WAS the $64,000 Question, wasn't it?

  • @hatchetman4206667 yes IT was

  • this is the strangest case in pro wrestling that may be never really solved,But still, his son and wife died and you have to deal with the facts that Benoit is all responsible but in another way, when your a big wrestling fan you dont want to ear how he ended you want to ear about what he did good and why he was so amazing in the ring.I still beleive there is something under this.. anyway, diving on your head from turnbuckle every day 22 years straight.I guess it's too much to handle for a brain

  • The people that knew him best say he was a gentleman, the fans who saw him know he was an amazing performer, what he did was shocking and unforgivable but you cannot forget all the good he done previously.

  • People are always going to remember Chris Benoit and how fantastic he was, he was one of the superstars that got me into wrestling. However, no matter who thinks his career shouldn't be overlooked, it will be because people judge. Clearly he had something wrong with him and its a complete shame that it has lead to the deaths of him and his family, also that he will probly never be in the WWE Hall Of Fame because of the final 2 days of his life.

  • phone call fail

  • When Chris Benoit wrestled, he wasn't a murderer. When he won titles, he wasn't a murderer. When he revolutionised wrestling styles, he wasn't a murderer. When people paid to go to shows to see him, they weren't paying to see a murderer. It's extremely short-sighted to write off someone's entire life and career based on what they did over two days of their 14,645 day life.

  • Yes, his entire life and career should be written off. What he did was a very big deal, even if it happened over two days of his life. The murders outweigh everything else that he did.

  • @chaffonline he murdered his wife an son, they should never be remember that peice of shit, theres no excuse for what he did

  • @NiggadaumHistory i swear when ever you saw benoit he looked like a mad man never smiled the guy looked like a killer lol

  • @abdi1983 dude shut the fuck up

  • @chaffonline yes he was a murderer he just didnt know it at the time or maybe he did who knows

  • I am glad to hear everyone was defending Chris, I know that the man who did thouse acts was not the same man who step in that ring and gave it his all, the same man who cared about his fellow workers, the same man who loved children and risked his life and his health to bring smiles to their faces. I don't think its about weather it was justifieable at all, its about understanding why he would do it, and knowing that Benoit wasn't some monster but a victem of mental issues and injury.

  • How were they defending him?

Benoit was a piece of shit. There's no excuse for his actions, and WWE is doing the right thing by not mentioning him. Nothing that he did on TV makes up for what he did to his wife and son. Nothing makes up for murder.

He had brain damage but still seemed to have enough of his mental faculties. He wrestled just a few days before that.

  • I don't like how John Cena said the P.C. comment b/c he's the top guy at the WWE. How can you be a wrestler and not advocate that they should have a union. In every major sport and form of entertainment, there is a union present to protect the performers/athletes. It's a shame that pro-wrestling doesn't have one.

  • @rathemagnificent FUCK YOU UNION THUG

  • Interesting that all these concerns are coming out - pro wrestling's need for unions; psychiatrists; zero tolerance drug policies; sexual harrassment awareness. And to be the one to stand up and shout for it (that is, complain about the conditions), you would've been blackballed back in the 80s, like Jim Wilson. With the Business being so secretive, WHO KNEW that he was telling the truth?

  • Even though Chris did these horrible things I think that he should be inducted into the hall of fame because this should'nt over shadow his wonderful career you know like we should'nt be celebrating the life of a mad man we should celebrate the life of the best technical wrestler of all time & just focus on all the good.

  • @TheBashingBro

Everything you said about Chris was true. However, I think this does overshadow his career b/c it was so horrible! The organization can't celebrate the life of a murderer.

  • It will never happen. Can you imagine the public outcry if WWE were to do that?

  • @Edgehead10075 to bad theres not a loud enough outcry that they didn't..

  • There's not an outcry because what WWE is doing is clearly right. You don't glorify a fucking murderer. Benoit's entire life was in vain because of what he did at the end of it.

  • Maybe all you guys should start a club, put all your savings together, find Vince McMahon and give him the money if he promises to put Benoit in the HOF and say his name on every show. It probably wouldn't begin to compensate Vince for all the endorsements, viewers and mainstream support his company will lose as a result but it will certainly be much more effective than having a cry on YouTube about it.

  • A clueless DA, go figure. Yes, of course do Psyche evals. The army and law enforcement do them, it is a cop out to say they know what theyre getting into. It is a harsh and fast paced life, that is why you do the Psyche evals.

  • @TwiztidKid93 Dont worry about him, he is a douche. Probably has done nothing excellent in his life. He is just speaking from emotion of hearing about the tradgedy. Most people will now. Stick to your opinion, it is valid.

  • Fuck off, and it's spelled "tragedy," moron. Your opinion isn't valid, and WWE isn't mentioning that piece of shit ever again. You lose, faggot.

  • @Edgehead10075 First didnt direct a comment to you. Why? You are irrational/ hysterical. Who cares about spelling errors, its a internet comment page, not an essay. I did not say your opinion was invalid, just your attitude toward someone with a different opinion. I tried to see your point yet it was overly aggressive to the person you directed it to. I think he stated his point well so I sided with him, to him. Your opinion is yours, your attitude sucks/ it makes you seem like a small person.

  • y did he kiil what happpen 2 he

  • Learn grammar.

  • WWE is doing just that. Benoit was good, but he wasn't in the league of Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, or the Rock as a draw. The story of pro wrestling can easily be told without him.

  • @Edgehead10075 r u stupid?? chris beniot is a legend like figure, but critizing him for that i can understand, but u have to relizie that NO ONE knew y he did what he did. that is the bottom line. btw, one more thing, chris beniot is like the hulk hogan of 2000 to 2006 of wwe, today he would if he was alive, hew would be a wwe hall of famer. wwe is trying to erase him, YOU are under that influence of ERASING him. just dont talk anymore iif you are.

  • I don't care why he did it. There's no reason that would be justifiable. As far as his career goes, yeah he was a good wrestler, but Hulk Hogan? No way! Benoit didn't have the charisma of Hogan. John Cena is the Hulk Hogan of today. Yeah, Benoit would be a hall of famer, but he's more like a Ricky Steamboat than a Hogan.

WWE hasn't erased him from their records. They just won't mention him anymore because of his acts.

  • @Edgehead10075 that true, their is no reason, or excuse for what he did. in deed he would be more like a modern day ricky steam boat, but trying to erase him for what he did is just ridculus on wwe's part!!

  • It wouldn't be prudent for WWE to mention Benoit's name, as there would surely be people offended by it. WWE is doing the smart thing.

  • @Edgehead10075 that's just RIDICULOUS!!!

  • What's ridiculous? Benoit's a murderer, and he shouldn't be getting any attention. Blame it on Benoit. He's the one who murdered his wife and son. Don't blame WWE. The murders totally overshadow Benoit's wrestling career, which is now meaningless.

  • @Edgehead10075 It has to do with Benoit's wrestling career due to all the head shots that he took.

  • You're missing the point. The fact is that the murders outweigh whatever his in-ring accomplishments were.

  • @Edgehead10075 no ur missing the point due to all of the mental problems that wwe has put people like benoit through due to the hardships of some types of matches

  • There is some validity to what you're saying, and WWE has done something about it by banning chair shots to the head. However, Benoit decided to do all of those diving headbutts. The WWE never forced him to do them, and I'm not going to blame WWE for what Benoit did.

  • @Edgehead10075 neither am i, i just hope all the wrestlers have learned to go to a counselor if they are having mental problems.

  • Read what JonLambert89 wrote here. It explains everything.

  • i remember getting ready to watch that episode of raw where it was announce of his death, i had absolutely no clue what was going to happen that night. but when i saw "In loving memory of Chris Benoit 1967-2007"...i broke into tears instantly

  • You're a fag. Stop supporting a fucking murderer.

  • @Edgehead10075 all im saying is i liked his wrestling. shut up

  • Well GET OVER IT. His wrestling career doesn't mean shit now.

  • This interview really shows how much of an ass licker Cena really is, and it doesn't surprise me at all that Bret Hart of all people thinks they should have a union lol

  • He works for WWE, so he obviously can't badmouth them.

  • Comment removed

  • Mcdevitt speaking the company line

  • The company line is correct.

  • Have some respect, guys.. You can never explain what happens because they're all dead and there's no witness.. Yes, Chris may have killed his wife and kid, but i'm sure he was not in his state of mind.. Like Jericho said there was some mental issues concerned..

I dont deny what happened, but i still respect him nevertheless..

  • Yawn.

  • Lame comeback. You're boring. Again, you know that Benoit was murdered because???????

  • Even though I don't care for hitman24, you have no business insulting anyone here. You're a fucking idiot who thinks that Benoit is innocent.

  • And your evidence that he was murdered is????????

Grow up. Just because you WANT him to be innocent doesn't make it so, you dumb fucking cunt. If he was murdered, he would have had signs of a struggle on his body, which he didn't. I'm not committing suicide anytime. You lose. Benoit was a fucking piece of shit MURDERER. Thank God he's dead.

  • No, he wasn't, CUNT. He committed suicide. Epic FAIL on your part.

  • No, he wasn't.

  • they should have answered the last question instead of plugging Harry Potter

  • They would have said, "WWE is not mentioning him because he murdered his wife and son." Happy now?

  • Benoit was clean of all drugs??...Yeah, bull-fucking-shit. He was a massive steroid user, just like his hero The Dynamite Kid. And I don't care what anyone says, Cena is taking steroids too. You do NOT get that big in wrestling without taking something. If so, name me 5 guys in the history of wrestling that got as big as Cena is by doing it clean..Yeah, nobody can because it's not possible. They all take steroids.

WWE protects certain wrestlers and Cena is one of them. No question.

  • Yawn.

  • This DA is terrible. He doesn't give facts just opinion and conjecture. I don't disagree with what he said just the fact that he said it in his position as DA

  • Benoit did it; deal with it.

  • Jerry McDevitt - not a natural TV guy ;)

  • @SpiritKnob it doesnt seem to affect larry kings career

  • I don't Believe Cops said Chris kill his wife son and himself is BULLSHIT.

  • Nope. You just want to believe that he's innocent because you idolized him. Lol. Grow up, dipshit. He's guilty. Furthermore, your sentence doesn't even make sense grammatically. Go back to school.

  • @Edgehead10075 Hey if your a true Edgehead you would atleast respect Chris as a wrestler, because Edge did.

  • Just because I like Edge doesn't mean I have to agree with everything he says or thinks.

Benoit was a great wrestler, but that doesn't mean shit to me anymore.

  • @nirvana6daniel That's true.. Instead of just insulting him..If Edge reads what you post here, i'm sure he wouldn't want to talk to you..Or even if he does he would just say go screw yourself.. You should be ashamed of yourself.. Asking someone else to grow up, YOU grow up..

  • oooohhhh daniel radcliff is going to be on the show jk

chris benoit was one of the best in the buisness and will never be forgotten good or bad

  • WWE has forgotten about him. Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!

  • i dont think chris did it i think it was a set up

  • You're wrong. You just don't want to believe that Benoit did it because you were his fan. There's no way that Benoit was set up, as he clearly committed suicide and wasn't murdered.

  • i wish they answered the last question

  • You probably would have been disappointed with their answer. They would have said that WWE is not mentioning Benoit because he's a murder, and it would not be a good thing to say his name in a positive light. They would have been right, too. WWE's decision to not mention Benoit ever again is a no-brainer.

  • @Edgehead10075 I agree with you. I have talked to people on both sides of this argument and in all honesty the WWE did probably one of the only things they could do given the situation.

  • @TheDGDX Yeah, me too!

  • They would have repeated the WWE's line.

  • yeah fuck u larry for the ending

  • What were you hoping the wrestlers would say?

  • @Edgehead10075 something anything

  • They would have just said that the WWE isn't mentioning him anymore because he's a murderer.

  • @Edgehead10075 thats stupid

  • No, it's not. WWE is doing the right thing. Benoit is a fucking embarrassment, and people would complain if WWE mentioned a murderer's name on TV.

  • @Edgehead10075 yeah but still you can't or the PEOPLE the FANS can't delete all the history of chris benoit's amazig carer and wrestling talent he was one of the best ever plus the police dint do their work right and didnt work hard enough thy just said it's a murder suicide and didnt investegate more they just said that right away no one knows the truth

  • Actually, the cops investigated the home for over seven months. They're sure that he did it.

The fans can do what they want, but WWE is doing the right thing by not mentioning him. It would cause too much controversy if they did.

  • @Edgehead10075 i dont think so and it would cause much controversy but still i dont agree with what they did

  • @shawndx100 they didnt work hard enough???? u think it was easy to determine murder suicide??

wat verdict would u be happy with? when do u think workin hard enough will be?

he killed his wife an kid that is a fact. i know its hard for u 2 belive cause u loved him or watever but thats wat happened.

  • @carl478 listen i dont want to go over all the facts that supports what I'm saying like there was alcohol and chris doesnt drink according to his friends and all the weird mesgs he sent and all that. i dont love the guy so much he's not my favorite but it's pathetic

  • @shawndx100 listen, if john smith down the road killed his wife an kid an himself, an the police said it was murder/suicide, u wud belive it straight away. just because its benoit u dont wanna belive its true.

  • @carl478 who's john smith?

  • @shawndx100 its hypotetical.

  • If some nobody killed his wife and son and the police said that he did it, you'd believe them. That's why carl's point is. The only reason why you don't believe the cops is because you were a Benoit fan.

  • @Edgehead10075 thats so stupid

  • What's so stupid? He's right. You're only not buying what the cops said because you WANT to believe that Benoit is innocent.

  • What's pathetic? You can't say that you know for sure that Chris didn't drink, and it's possible that his wife drank, too. Just get over it; he did it. The police are professionals. They knew what they were doing. The messages don't prove his innocence whatsoever.

  • anyone else think it was weird how it ended on that last question.

  • Who cares? We all know what the answer to the question would have been. We all know why the WWE doesn't mention Benoit anymore.

  • the last question...

  • was stupid.

  • so superstars don't hold the title to say that your the best they want it because it makes their salary raise

  • Amazing how Bret stood up for the guys in the locker room while the others protected themselves... I knew Cena and Jericho were thinking the same thing as Bret.

  • the most important question at the end and larry king hangs up and dismisses the panel to speak about harry potter...shame like this comment if you feel the same way

  • Actually it was a stupid question, as we all know what the answer is. The WWE isn't mentioning him because he's a fucking piece of shit murderer who brought shame upon WWE.

  • Wrestling just seems like a road to hell. Any young guy getting into it, I just think their either not gonna last or end up with addictions.

  • @stuarachel thatss a very stupid point dnt you think ?

as a wrestler working the independants i can tell u with real confidence tthat there are plenty of pro wrestlers living happy lives free of drugs and roids. So know the proffesion before you make a comment like that

  • The Only Way I See It Is He Killed His Wife In A Moment Of Rage And Thought That The Best Thing To Do After That, In his State Of Mind, Kill His Child, Its A Horrible Case And I Loved Benoit He Was A Great Preformer And Maybe The Best Wrestler Ever To Lace Up A Pair Of Boots, But Hey, Thats Life Shit Happens, The Best We Can Do Its Move On And Evolve

  • Why do you capitalize the first letter of every word? That's a lot of wasted effort.

  • @Edgehead10075 I Dont Know, Just Something I Do :P

  • i dont think all this would have happened if eddie gurrero didnt die

  • @dazzer155 yeaa

  • Comment removed

  • WWEs wellness policy is a joke. Benoit clean? lol i highly doubt that. See if your a main guy who vince likes, wwe wont release you. They just make examples outa people they can easily replace.

  • WWE does not need psychiatric evaluations. Thats none of their business. They need to focus on their bodies and wrestling skill, not their personal life. Wrestlers being on the road too much and using painkillers and steroids is the main common problem. Benoit was only one time

  • @gravedigger400 Have you heard what Dynamite kid did ??

  • at 3:29 Blackman forgot to add, kiss alot of ass

  • weird how ted only talks about ted jr and not brett when they talk about their kids.

  • Well ...... I think everyone really wants to know .... what did Mr. King think of the new Harry Potter???

  • Comment removed

  • @cruherrx yeah right

  • LMAO this nigga hung up on him lmao just funny

  • They cut off on one of the most interesting questions yet repeated the same ol obvious ones for half an hour.

  • The answer to the question was obvious, though. They're not mentioning his name because he's a murderer.

  • @Edgehead10075

The answer is not as simple as that when you are addressing the public and you knew the guy, it would of be interesting to see what they would have said nontheless.

  • Jericho is right you cant tell the story of pro wrestling without Chris Benoit he was arguably the greatest wrestler of all time.

  • You're an idiot. The answer to your question is obvious. WWE won't mention his name because he's a piece of shit murderer. Duh, moron.

  • Steve Blackman seems he"s in good and good shape, I wish he should of stayed in WWE and see him facing with the new generation like John Cena

  • Hmmmm, but the drugs certainly did not help the matter.

  • would like to believe that some one else did this to chris and his family but the lack of evidence don't support what i believe, so i have to believe that something snapped in his head caused by his countless head injuries or steroids. anyways rest in peace, he will be chilling in wrestling heaven drinking coronas with eddie guererro and all the other wrestlers who died a tragic death.

  • @mfkgraffiti They studied his brain and by the looks of it, he had a lot of brain damage to his head, considering he was always getting knocked on his head. The murders had nothing to do with the drugs.

  • @HollyoaksIsLove,

Ever since this happened, I wondered if the constant diving headbutts Benoit did had something to do with this. I mean, that was his signature move, but I think it did as much damage to Benoit as it did to his opponents.

  • @knightryderrwn

Yeah I've always believed that. I remember a steel cage match from his WCW days when he did the diving headbutt from the top of the cage, missed the downed opponent by 8 inches and did a face-plant into the mat. Hurt me just looking at it. And then you see it again from the top of a ladder @ 6:58 here. I wonder how many times he did that over the years... He had the toughest neck on Earth for it not to snap from all that, but he was scrambling his brains over the years.

  • @shinbanman,

Exactly right. I used to wince (and see Benoit) wincing every time he did his diving headbutt. That had to be one of the most dangerous moves (to Benoit as well as his opponent) I've ever seen (next to Shane McMahon's "coast-to-coast" missile dropkick).

  • He's not in heaven.

  • it was the diving headbutt that killed chris benoit

  • What happened in the final hours of Chris Benoit's life should not overshadow his career... he deserves to be in the hall of fame after what he has done for this business... he was the one of the great mat wrestlers of all time, john cena and chris jericho are nothing in front of him...

  • You're 100% wrong. The lives of Nancy and Daniel are much more important than Chris' career. Benoit doesn't deserve to be in the hall of fame, and he never will be. Cena and Jericho aren't piece of shit murderers, so they're far better than Benoit in my eyes. Get a clue.

  • @Edgehead10075 Chris Benoit does deserve a posthumous entry into the hall. He contributed a great deal to the sport. Doing so does not honor the murders or the type of man he had become in his final days. That is not the essence of who Benoit was. He is not a 'piece of shit'. As far as I'm concerned, he lost it, lost his sanity and who he was and broke down, it was a shell, a zombie of a mind, that did that.

  • It's not going to happen. People will see that as praising a murderer. Benoit will never be mentioned ever again by WWE, and people should just accept it.

  • @Edgehead10075 Chris Benoit not to be in the Hall of Fame in the future? You would be surprised by the WWE.

  • Well that was rather typical of the american media to cut that guy off at the end. I would have liked to hear their opinion of WWE erradicating the name of Benoit from the records. I personally think its appauling. What he did was horrible, but it gives them no right to do that. That would be like having Andrew Jackson's name wiped from U.S history

  • No, YOU'RE appalling (and that's how it's spelled). WWE has every right to do whatever they want; it's a free country, moron. They're not going to pay tribute to a murderer. Period. End of story. That would be classless. Now fuck off. The caller's question was retarded, much like you. BTW, they haven't wiped out his name. He's still listed as a world heavyweight champion. They just won't mention his name.

  • @Edgehead10075 WWE released a DVD on Savage, and he was accused of raping/sleeping with McMahon's daughter. Jeff Hardy has a DVD out and he's on trial for being a drug lord. McMahon even allegedly setup Owen Hart for that tragic fall. There was alot of BS going on prior to that tragedy. As for as that freedom thing goes, there is use and ABUSE. WWE thinks that just because they're on top, they can do what they want w/o any remorse. Thats how the Romans fell, and thats how WWE will fall!

  • That's just an urban legend about the Macho Man. Notice that he was never charged with anything. I'm sorry, but Jeff Hardy's alleged crimes are nothing compared to Benoit's. Benoit's a MURDERER. McMahon set up Owen? WTF are you babbling about, you idiot? The WWE isn't falling anytime soon, and certainly not because they won't mention Benoit.

  • @Edgehead10075 Maybe you're right about savage, maybe not. If it is a myth, than why does McMahon go nuts everytime he hears Savage's name? Why isn't he in the WWE Hall of Fame? Was benoit's actions horrible? You damn right they were! I never said that they were not inexcusable. HOWEVER, you can't say that he was a good wrestler. It's just a horrible shame that his career ended the way it did. If he had been more open about his personal life, maybe this wouldn't have happened.

  • @Edgehead10075 Continued: I heard a rumor that Mcmahon sabotaged the zipline that owed used during the PPV back in 1999. Owen begged and pleaded Mcmahon to let him out of his contract, and was always denied. Owen's wife even filed a lawsuit alleging the sabotage. Even when McMahon was questioned about it, he retored "Shut up, I don't like your tone". Much like the Benoit tragedy, only God knows what happened there.

  • @ejr23 Sabotaged? Wow, nice rumour. The most I realistically suspect is that he ignored some safety protocols to put on a good show (a less secure zipline detaches faster) and that maybe he didn't use the most pro team in an effort to save costs.

  • @tyciol You may as well have said that he killed Owen Hart

  • I agree on the terms that they should have been more open and not take away the achievments of chris beniot but on that note we are only fans and are not looking at this from a buisness point of view there auidence is young and can not risk scaring them from the industry this was a massive wake up call to be honest and in all honesty it should have never got this bad in the first place there needs to be a wrestlers union insted of this bull shit to give them a lot more protection

  • @xtreme3xo=Fuck unions

  • you cant make a omlete with out breaking sum eggs

  • edgehead has been doing the same shit for 2 yrs now im 100% shure he is a virgin

  • @lilvin69 shows what you know.
