  • it`s hard to get a good mix in that arena...too many dead spots.....it`s an oversized hockey rink.....bad place for concerts...they should have went to Lakeland instead and played 2 nights...better mix over there

  • Good concert...DLR was born to entertain! He's still got it! The guyz tore it up...what a flashback from the past!

  • You people don't think that a poor sounding video could have anything to do with the acoustics in the building or the caliber of the camera do you? And Jesus...this isn't 1982, Uncle Rico. It ain't going to sound the same. I was at this concert. It was a blast.

  • bring back sammy...i love dave but at least w sammy you get a real vocalist and the whole VH library

  • You know what sucks SO much?

The whole reason VH1 broke up was because Dave wouldn't let Ed play keyboards, and now it sounds like crap when Ed just plays a palm muted chord the whole time, that's louder than the keys.

On the other hand, Sam would always let Ed use the keyboard, and he never messed up the lyrics.

  • I just think the whole sound mix for this concert has sucked period. Either too heavy on the drums, not enough bassline, not enough volume for Eddie at times, vocals too low, vocals too frigging high. The mix rarely jelled. Towards the end of the Charlotte Show the mix finally was close but still needed a touch more bass; Eddie's guitar tone was raw.... nice. Whoever is overseeing the sound mix has dropped the ball for VH IMHumbleO or they don't have the right equipment in place.

  • Sniff Sniff... WTF was that? Not egg salad but Diamond Dave letting off his most odorific clowd of the evening singing this song! He wanted to sing this song at the Hall of Fame Induction... might not have been pretty. I know I'm a broken record... Charlotte Opening night really rocked. The Tampa concert just left me with the feeling that they were just there to cash the check. And throw out some more of those FREE pics you get to the fans you cheap multimillionaires! WTF... I saw maybe 15 fly!

  • @EVHSlightReturn Hey remember, this guy was 54 years old at this concert. I think all things considered, he did great!!! This is the real Van Halen even though we need Michael Anthony!!

  • @MrJMD37 Oh I know... I'm just comparing it to the performance on opening night in Charlotte in 2007... Was great! He had some hand surgery after this tour... I think he was struggling with it towards the end of this tour but says it's good to go now. I hope they put out a couple good CDs/go on the road again because I'll be there! Yeah... MA would complete the circle but it looks like that bridge is burned now. I'd like to see VH make some things happen over the next 5-7 years bf it's too late.

  • @EVHSlightReturn That would be great and unfortunately, I think you're right about MA. From what I've heard, Eddie and Alex are some spiteful mother***kers!!

  • @MrJMD37 Yeah with parting words like" Now Mikey will have all the time he wants to play with Sammy" it doesn't look good! Even though hell froze over & they toured with Roth after 20+ years, it may not freeze over again for Mike. Especially with Wolfie in the fold... the family, especially Eddie, ain't gonna want to let go of that. Well, we always have our "memories"... sucks! Wish I got to see the original VH live... I was a bit young & just missed it. I saw VH/5150 in 85 then this tour twice.

  • Great show! Its been 3 days and my voice is still gone!

  • Can hardly hear anything.

  • This was the trippiest encore ever.
