Pendulum were once a fully fledged Drum n Bass band, and they've made a shift towards electronic rock, which I think was a good move. They've become extremely popular, and every single one of there songs kick so much ass. They've been my favourite band of all time for 3-4 years, they still are. I love them.

Drum and bass is the style of music pendulum started out as. It's a genre. Tempest is one of their newer songs, and in my opinion, a flipping awesome one at that. Prodigy are basically gods among electronic bands and live shows and kinda defined a lot for a lot of people. Pendulum covered/remixed one of their songs called voodoo people and made it 100 times better lol.

And I know that Pendulum formed in 2002 dumbass, so I don't know where you got that info from....Listen to stuff like Hazard, Spor, ShockOne etc, then you will see proper drum & bass. Pendulum were drum & bass, but weren't with this latest album. However Rob has said that they'll be returning to DnB for album 3.

He is technically playing a keyboard. It's called a ztar, and it functions exactly like a normal keyboard, except it has a guitar fretboard rather than keys. And they're not cheap.

Also frees Rob up from being behind the keyboard and gives him more versatility when he's onstage singing. Like Jimmmeeehhh said they are not easy to play at all because you have to manipulate the keys and buttons just right in order to get the right synth sound you want, otherwise you'll get the wrong tone in the middle of a song. Basically you can program all the sounds from any synth or keyboard and input them into the Ztar.

I have seen Pendulum 3 times, and have met them twice. The one time was very very random and the 2nd time i asked if they would mind signing mine and my mates ticketS so they came off the tour bus to do so and had a chat with me, my mate and some random blokes that were waiting for a taxi lol.

I really loved Pendulum back when they made hard as fuck drum and bass, dont get me wrong, they are still rocking the f'k out, but this "new" sound lacks the awesome impact of their earlier studio dnb stuff (in my opinion). Props to them finding the old roots though and bringing rock back into their sound.(they used to be a rock band before they produced DNB apparently)
