Isn't it nice to see what a supply of water from tankers can do. A cafs upgrade on the next purchase of new wagons would really help in this rural district. My brother took a few years to get a cafs rescue engine and a 3500 gal tanker in place and they have made a huge improvement..
the one at 2:09 on the left aiming his fire hose on the side of the garage without touching it is it in prevention of heat radiation that might go torward the main house or something like that ?
@giannispecioso its called a water curtain... not sure if it actually works. In my essentials for firefighting, they said it didnt work. but who knows, ive never used it.
You can hear the compressed gas tank venting on arrival. Maybe could have sat back with master stream for protection. Just a thought. Exposures would be secondary. Arriving a minute sooner could have meant serious injury to fire fighters.
Keep voting the Republicans and teabaggers into office and you won't see our brave firefighters there unless they are there as a private fire department to make profit only for their corporate masters. I have more faith in the American people to let that happen.
@vpose ya your right, we are so much better off not that the ass monkey is in office aren't we... oh wait he did bail out auto makers instead of working on the economy so ya.... ya and I know, it was all Bush's fault
Is it not about time the USA dumped this pull out of huge lines of hose before they can start working. Better the European way where you run out as much hose as you need and get water onto the fire much faster.
@Norfolkscot Oh!!! You mean booster lines? Yeah because 30 gpm was going to do a lot here. Not to mention the 300 gal of water you brought on your European "pump." At least it didn't involve an interior attack then what would you have done?
@Norfolkscot GPM's (or LPM's in your case) put out fires. You can put 500-1,000 GPM's on a big fire and knock it down in a few minutes, or you can piss around with those small hoses all day and use 3-4 times the water because you can't put it out. Most of our lines are preconnected, and we bring 500-1,000 gallons on our first truck. American fire trucks and depts. can run circles around you guys.
I'd like to say that this went very well. What had to be saved was saved. I like that everyone looks nice and calm and not in a hurry which is good on the fire scene (don't get hurt). PPE was good everyone was wearing it. And last, Nice Trucks!
That bitch sure had a personality. I would of spoke to her with the deck gun adn kept my guys back after she spoke. Reminds me of my wife when she opens her mouth. Better use of lines later on blasted her rite down her throat.

Not sure about knuckleheads, but my only comment is why use the large bore to do expossure. Get the small lines on exposures and the big line for suppression. Once you have knock down you have no exposure issue. Good work though. Nice truck..
@jscott2two28 So do an immediate nockdown of the cause of the exposure, with all available resorces! dont sit on the grass trying to see how high in the air you can get the water to go.
Yet another 'example' of the 'traditions' of US Firefighters, doiung it 'their way' because it's always been done 'that way.'
So what if the building is a write off, you're there to put out the fire NOT to write up an insurance claim.
what exactly are these 3 knuckle heads doing? 3 lines going and only one guy hitting the fire, one of them is shooting water down the side of the house and not hitting anything!...lol
@ 0:43.
Is that a flashover or a backdraft?

Excellent job men, calm cool collected, had a plan, primary was to protect the exposure, get lines and manpower in place then attack the fire.

Why are they not putting water on the fire. They have 3 lines out but none are being used.
Why is the one FF spraying water off to the left, not hitting the fire?
dennis4679 9 months ago
@dennis4679 its to stop any flames from going to the left and igniting the house or anything that is on that side
jenn4183 9 months ago
@dennis4679 Protecting exposures. Get the PR line out, If no-one is in immediate danger, protect your exposures then work the fire.
