yes, very nice vt., where would we be without the UK taxpayer funded BBC. . I only just realised that there are actually no opening windows at all, not even a vent opening to the outside from apartments in the building 860-880 LSD, Chigago, and elsewhere. . One stayed at Miami Hyatt which has balconies, that may not be accessed, very strange; and other hotels where sometimes it is only possible to open the window 2 inches, "for personal safety reasons" (!?). . . Cheers. from, del-boy.
@slammydoor Dear SlammyWindow, Thanks for your response. I stand corrected. . It seems like you've been there, can you tell me, as they are operable/openable would someone be able to clean the outside of the window glass from the inside? . In Poland, my pal's windows open into the room and may be cleaned without his needing to lean out of the window; are the Chicagoan windows that flexible? . . Cheers. from, del-boy
@NEBUKEDNEZZA I visited a retired couple who lived in 860-880. While the windows are operable, I did not actually open one, and so I don't know how easy they are to clean. I do remember that they had one of Bertoia's "sound sculptures" in their apartment, and they said that the wind whipping off Lake Michigan in the winter was so strong that the sculpture would move even when all of their windows were closed! So the building is apparently a little drafty . . .
@JCAL360 hahaahahahaha thats funny but I dont think you are saying that as a term of endearment towards ur professor hahaa... what school do you go to.. I go to Wentworth in boston!
