p3p did have a nice ost. very nice review, best ive seen!. But how could u forget one of the major additions to the game, Vision quest. Where(SPOILER) u get to fight Margret from p4.
That was actually a pretty damn helpful review! I think honestly though, I'll stick to the PS2 version. I really didn't care for the fact that they took out the cinematics and walking-around mode...I might actually get it later on to play as a chick, but as of right now, I'm happy playing it on my PS2. =D
This is a really hard review to follow for people who haven't played Persona 3. I'd like it if you actually went back and did a review for beginners.
Persona 3 is only on PS2, and I don't have one, and I'm not going to pay 100 bucks to get one now... but I like the idea of this game, but I have no idea what it's about or what you're talking about.
This is less of a review, and more of a companion for those who have already played the first game. Gotta dumb it down man...
The beginning is, anything in the second-half is for everyone to follow. From the Dungeons, Social Links, Fusions, and the Story.. you get the gist of what Persona 3 is about.
@daftbottv Maybe you should be the first of the audience to go. Now go out there and show the world how you review games but criticize other reviewers to keep them on their toes. Call yourself Verizon, for everything else they don't say, Daftbottv does!!!
@NocturneSonate bring it down a notch man. I'm just telling him what I've learned from writing about movies and games for the past five years. Let the man speak for himself sir.
@NocturneSonate clearly you can't. You've been attacking me, when I haven't done anything to you and Murda and I are having a legitimate conversation about my comment. I've been polite, I think he can recognize that, and you've been acting like a child.
@johnnymurda Yeah. You introduce the changes before you introduce the basics. For anyone who hasn't played the game, and that's a lot more people than have played it, you lose your audience or confuse them.
And if you check your insight I'm sure you'll see you're losing your audience before the second half.
You have great diction, you know what you're talking about, I'd just present the basics at first and then go into changes. I mean at least touch on the plot in the first 3 minutes.
I don't necessarily think it's that, video games is a different kind of beast. Not everyone is going to be as interested in certain game types. I think it's the fact that I'm not reviewing a lot of the upscale games. Like Singularity as they say was one of those games people were anticipating, same with Alan Wake, RDR, Etc.
I've also noticed that it seems more when I release a review, if I can get a game out when it releases... seems there will be more hits.
@johnnymurda There's truth to what you say, but at the same time I think if you build your audience and stick to certain fundamentals in critique based journalism your audience will grow.
I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but you really should lay out a description of the plot and then the gameplay, especially when you're talking about a story driven game. Then move into your detailed analysis.
I switch it up actually in multiple reviews, depending on the game type at least. Seeing as this is a game with a wealth of information on it for 2 years, I decided that the most important information was the changes. Like in my Alpha Protocol Review... I preferred to talk about the bad things first. Because that was a majority of the game, and ended it with the good stuff.
With the Singularity Review... I just went for a standard format.
@NocturneSonate Why are you getting so butt hurt over this. You didn't do anything to contribute to the review so why are you taking it on like it's your crusade?
Please let the adults talk and go play in the yard until you're called in for lunch. ok?
@NocturneSonate what's it like being 22 and acting like a fucking child? You're going to shit on me because don't have enough comments? I have more than you. You haven't created anything.
Note I have twice the subs and and several hundred more views than Murda and shut the hell up. You're 22 and you're still trolling? Get a life.
URRRGGG I WANT THIS SO BAD BUT I HAVE NO MONEY! Just spent my last bit of money on StarCraft II. But in time this will reach me. In time. Persona, and Shin Megami Tensei in general are amazing. Great review man, love all your reviews.
This was a fantastic review. I'm heading to work to pick this up today. Thanks:)

The two games are just so awesome that it's hard to pick between them. I'd give Persona 4 the same exact grade as 3 in honesty.

@johnnymurda As some one who reviews games for a living, I'd have switched that. Especially in a 9 minute review. You're going to lose your audience.
