  • hey really nice model im going to be making the palm island Dubai and my question was what materials would you need to use i know the base will me mdf and the island will be plywood but was wondering what material would you use to make the houses and the grass and sand

  • @rollsrs1 In my opinion: the water can be a full layer of acrylic with a deep blue backspray. Your plywood layer can be shaped to represent the "fall" to the water.

    as per you textures... I really love adding texture to my paint by having a solid base colour (being your grass or sand,etc) and "speckeling" other colours to it. as per the buildings my choice is acrylic.( although I do have a full set-up for acrylic cuting, painting,scoreing,etc) considere lasercutting! is the way to go!

  • This is what I'm talking about that when it comes to design or model presentations...FILIPINO Architect stands out....I've never seen this KIND of scale model building anywhere here in Canada...the one in my office is like a kindergarten cartoons...sooo cheap and ugly...Congratulations to all of you who did this model...UNIQUE AND AWESOME...
