This is just speculation but I think Jason got a huge payoff from ABC to pick Melissa and them dump her on the ATFR. Thats why it broke his heart to send Molly away. He chose money over love and it killed him. In the end he got to have both...

oh my lord, the man made a mistake, he picked the wrong woman then, he didn't know as much as he thought he did and it took a couple more months to figure out that Melissa while a great girl was the wrong girl for him and Molly was the right one. Now he's married to Molly and Melissa is now married to Ty, her then ex and now everybody is happy, it all worked out in the end. This is a story that novels and soaps are made of!!! Life gets messy sometimes.

I think anyone could see that when he sent Molly away, he knew deep down he was doing the wrong think. You could see it on the look of his face.

I'm not sure why so many are taking it like as if he left Melissa after being married and having a child or something. If a person knows it is not right, they certainly should break things off BEFORE the marriage begins. It would have been so much worse had he married Melissa anyway, knowing he didn't want to, and then finally divorce her!

He is a good role model. Did you see Melissa when she was rejected? That is a better judge of character than when someone is getting what she wants. Melissa morphed into an extremely angry and hateful young woman.

Really--you would want Melissa to be the stepmother to Jason's young child? Frankly, I'd be disturbed.

Melissa's problems didn't start with Jason. She has a history of mercurial behavior. I wish her well, but I am glad Jason had the wisdom to pick the right woman.

I love this showeven I don't watch tv very often. I loved watching jason and his attitude, Molly very intelligent, sensitive, wise, lucid... Then she said he deserved someone great, Molly was still in her heart in Love, loving herself, confident with herself, her SPIRIT knew that Jason had doubt because of him having been hurt in the past and not letting go his past therefore his MENTAL, HIS EGO got himself in a muddle still wpndering, confused if he could be walking his real spouce to the LIMO!?
