Bowie wrote this song for Mott The Hoople but they decided they wanted to start writing their own songs.They sent the song back to Bowie and he got so annoyed by their refusal to record the song he shaved off his eyebrows. I think he was in Florida when he did it. I love that story. That will show em' David. I'm glad they didn't record it anyway, we might not have this great version if they did. Bowie still rocks !
