  • How many place he will take on disk which we choose as Target device during installation, all free space ?

Can we create particular area on that disk for Fedora ?

  • iHate Gnome... THE KDE IS THE BEST!!!

  • @jocika99

for me, i would use the XFCE edition of Fedora right now.

  • please someone respond to this:

after i install Fedora or Ubuntu or anything, will i be able to switch back to Windows 7 after?

  • @LeCoLe313 If you install any Linux distro you will never use windows again...but, YES you will be able to switch back to Win7...just won´t install Linux in a Windows partition(NTFS).

  • how can i install fedora 16 on my external hard drive????

  • @ValkonMixMaster

Fedora should be installed only on internal hard drives. if you want to run a Linux from usb stick, the ones that can be installed on usb stick are for example Tiny Core linux. external hard drives are too slow for things like Fedora.

  • @12x what is the song name and artist?

there can sometimes be another menu in bios called 'boot priority order' or something. or 'hard drive boot priority' that list needs to be changed so the CD is 1 instead of your hard drive otherwise the hard drive always gets priority. if it's not that, maybe the CD is faulty.

  • @12x I figured out what I did yesterday. I was a dumbass and just put the .iso on a disc instead of actually burning the files.

  • i only have one hard rive. if i choose it will it delete windows because im trying to dual boot it.

  • @dankill16

well no, not if you choose "Use free space", it should dual boot it, that's the idea anyway.

  • Good Work dude

  • What screen u got, i got P2370HD and it looks same, but u dont have shit from fly's like my screen. :D

  • @6250valtra

yeah, it's that screen, a hdtv monitor. pretty good and was cheap from where i got it, at amazon.

  • @TheFeedup

you would need to use a program to burn the Fedora ISO to disc. there's lots of free ISO burners if you check google. some ones i saw that look fine are Img Burn or Active ISO.

  • I enjoyed watching the video ... keep it up !

  • @cobraTheJoker

  • I found it. Thank you.

  • Wow, thank you so much for this, confused the heck outta me and you fixed my problems, great job! :D

  • Good instructions but I was just wondering what is the name of that song and who is the artist?

  • my cd drive is broken so how would i get this software on my computer im sick of xp!

  • @aidan51231 USB Drive read Wiki on minimal requirements and how-to burn an ISO file (Fedora OS) onto the USB using a piece of software of some sort

  • @aidan51231

Go to google and search: 'universal usb installer'. Also download the fedora ISO, as shown in the beginning of this vid. Once downloaded, open the usb installer program, and in that choose the Fedora ISO. have a USB stick at least 1gb and make sure it is plugged in. Then, go to the BIOS as shown in video and choose to boot from ÚSB. if you are using a old PC, you might not be able to boot from USB.

  • It wouldn't allow me install, says it could not find enough free space when I have over 20GB of free space. By default, what size does it need to proceed with the partition creation and subsequent installation? Thanks.

  • @jawsino

hmm, you might have to go to "shrink custom system" or "create custom layout" when installing and set some free space from that. the 20gb free space is probably part of the Windows partition and needs to be seperated for Fedora.

  • @itouchmybalsinpublic

try boot basic video. what pc are you using? the specs. if it is Intel Sandybridge it can give you big problems.

  • hanks for the walkthrough vid.

i followed your instructions but after the download i didn't get the file that i need to burn on 32 nor 64 bit ... created a usb boot followed your directions, but process this time it wouldn't allow me to partition my hard drive, nor my external drive.... any suggestion? really appreciate the help...

  • @ScriptSinner

you might have to create some free space on your hard drive if there's no free space. 'Shrink current system' or 'create custom layout' are some options when installing to resize your partitions. The program i use to edit partitions is Gparted. If you can boot up a Live CD or USB of Fedora, Gparted is found in System Tools menu.

  • @12x thanks, got it thanks, it's up and running...

  • nice video for beginners! good job

  • @konsu89

    Thanks, more videos coming soon.

  • nice video thx!

  • how do i go back to using windows?

  • @nikitta100

if you have dual booted, when you start your PC, it will say press any key to enter grub. press any key. You should see Fedora and Other. Other is Windows. From 5:25 onward i demonstrate that in this video.
