His name is Lim hyung joo,a korean popera tenor,I think his voice is really good!

I have listened to this song many times and yet none of the singers really sticked to my mind. The song has never been so impressive to me until I listen to him;he has got a style and you've got the taste. Or is it because I am getting old? :-) Thanks for posting this video clip and thanks for listening the korean song..he has wonderful voice,I'll certainly keep an eye on him. I wish I could listen more of him singing korean lyric songs(가곡).

You're welcome,and I'm glad to see you like his voice.He has singed lot of korean songs,in his every album,he sings at least 2 korean songs,such as 하얀이별,연인,하월가,they're all very excellent!

This song belongs to particular genre called "가곡" in korean music, which was composed in a period,say 1920 till 1960. With my knowldege,"가곡" is characterized as songs

that had been composed in that period with the style of Shubert's music. I don't know whether 하얀이별,연인,하월가 also belong to that genne. Anyway,I like other songs,but it would take time getting to like as much as you-I like the lyric very much (i.e "our unfinished to be completed in the next life").

I didn't know much about korea's culture,maybe you mean "the traditional"?Lim hyung joo pays much attention to the traditional songs,and singed 4 in his second album "silver rain",including this one 동심초.

They are all traditional korean songs,it's just matter of when they were composed. I bet 동심초 is the earliest one composed among the four songs. Lim hyung joo seems to have gotten lots of fame already at tender age 21 as I listen to talking on the other video.

Yeah, he's really young,and he is so different from the other young singers in korea,the way he sings his traditional songs is fantastic!To my surprise,when I reading his past(I didn't hear of him until 2007),I found that he sang these traditional songs by himself!

I think he already gained considerable fame 6 or 7 years ago(i.e. 2000). The reason is that I saw a video on the Youtube him singing korean anthem during the inarguration ceremony for president Roh. Roh served 5 years before the current president; the singer would not have been chosen to sing there had been unknown to people. If his age is now 25,that make he was already popular singer at 19 year old?

The time he sang the korean anthem is 2003,several months after his debute,and he was born in 1986,it seems that he became popular after singing his national anthem in the ceremony.Inviting so young a singer to that important ceremony really surprises me,haha,maybe it never happen again.
