weakness of vids-repetitive introductions when you want to watch many together-plus not all episodes can be seen in all countries....so ill move on for other better designed architecture info modules, thanks.
The script has a noticeably irregular cadence to it: certain words pop out due to unexpected emphases of certain syllables. A bit odd, almost like an alien robot, but a friendly one thankfully.
Quite informative content, nonetheless. A series with much value for the lay person.
Interesting. I can't say I like his style though. Are the external elements purely decorative as in Baroque or do they reflect a function of the building?
I friggin LOVE YOUR VIDEOS doug! they are so very informative and i love how you apply the techniques of different architects in your own way of style as well.
I've been watching for a long time and will continue watching as it is so very interesting!
once again, thank you Doug for having this channel and making these videos =)
Great architect that isn't glorified much in the states. I like when architects push the norms, because there is plenty of normality out there why add to it when you have the freedom to do something better.
hi im sana from Morocco/Africa and i'm doing engineering studies! i ve always wanted to be an architect, idk why, i just have a feeling that its the right thing for me! we only have one architecture school so its hard to get in! now can you please advise me.. i really want to study architecture in the USA but my family is insisting on me finishing engineering studies (i did 2 years, still 3 to come).. i cant wait any longer to follow my dreams, yet i dont want to regret it.. what do u think?
@sana0hk there's something called architectural engineering. by its name, you can say that both studies are applied into a new even better fashion. architecture and engineering could be used for the same thing. So don't think of it as "getting away from your dreams" but rather: making your knowledge sharper for a more condifent life-path. In other words, use your engineering thinking and apply it for what you really want to do. Use the wind going against you, to your own benefit.
@jasanpahaf thank u for ur advice! really interesting. Although we dont have architectural engineering here in Morocco, and i didnt know it even existed! so what im gonna try to do is to finish engineering here and study architectural engineering abroad! it sounds reasonable. thank u
Great stuff here!!! nice job although it would be great to get more depth on each architects work
