i think ridge racer needed destruction. it was trying to be an arcade and simulator at once and lacked a lot of features present in most modern racing games.

not sure, but vita is pretty capable, high end content drawn with fewer pixels can work on it, maybe some of the effects toned down etc but the essence of that game should be possible?
