Just took a look at Fruta Manzana's file on the muppet wiki. Sounds like both she and Chiquita are based on a portuguese/brazilian performer named Carmen Miranda.

Sorry for the bad quality with the logo blur.
Maybe sometime in the future someone could download the clips and fix them.
