Very nice hunting stand. I am looking to make one for this next season. I have drawn mine out to have 16 inch plexi windows, on all four sides. My thinking is to have the windows framed and swing inwards and up out of the way. Can you tell me why most prefer to make a smaller/skinnier window? I would rather expand my range of veiw!
to bow hunt all you need to do is hing the board above the bottom board that is hinged. It would double the size of the window and should make bow hunting possible. Also cuz, you dont have to do all that chizzling. Just set your skill saw at inch and half and run it across the top of the board where the step notch is. Do it every half inch and the pieces knock right out with a hammer. I do it all the time framing houses.
Carl, I have a few questions for you. Do you ever have problems with the window sections bowing or warpping after the weather gets it? Do the fence boards shrink up and form gaps? I see you Alabama tag... What part? Great video... Have the elevator brackets and going to build Monday. Thanks
Great tips

Okay, one question. How the hell do you put this up in the woods? Even with multiple people, It'd seem like a pain in the butt!
